Collapsed down it measures 20cm, and fully extended, via the quick-twist lock, brings it up to 34cm. Its operation is smooth and quick, and the rubber coated twist lock enables it to be firmly locked into place
At each end of the tube is a 3/8” thread, and included is a 4cm long double ended screw, one end is 3/8” and the other 1/4" so it provides all the possible options such as attaching the extension to a tripod (3/8” thread) or using it as a hand held mini monopod and fixing directly to the camera (1/4” thread)

The Neewer NW-C21 tripod extender features a stable centre column made of carbon fibre, a material that makes it corrosion-resistant and suitable to support a DSLR camera, video lights, and other devices that weigh 20kg. Since it's a tripod, it has an adjustable height with a 2-section centre column. It stands from 21 cm to 33 cm. These two centres are composed of two tubes that are 25mm and 28mm in diameter. It also has a 45mm top mounting plate.
The tripod is also easy to carry anywhere. It weighs 150g and has a small size of 21 cm when retracted.

This centre column extension pole is a great add-on for your tripod as it enables you to achieve that bit extra reach (up to 13" to be precise); so if your current tripod is somewhat lacking in overall height, this will certainly be something you'll appreciate.
The product is constructed mainly from carbon fibre which makes it both extremely robust and lightweight. Apparently it can also double as a selfie stick with the right additional accessories, though there is a lack of grip on the stick, so I would personally advise against that.
I really like how easy it is to adjust the height and how secure it is once tightened, just keep an eye on the stability of the tripod depending on your set-up as it may become more top-heavy with the extra height.
Overall though, it's a really good product and is certainly one that I will be getting a lot of use with.

This is exactly what I needed to extend my monopod when out and about, I like to shoot a lot of countryside landscape photos, especially when there is an atmospheric sky. I use a monopod when out as it is easier to carry than my tripod plus is doubles as a walking pole. The only problem it has at times is it is too short. This extension is perfect to give the extra height that really makes the difference to horizon shots, getting the right heigh and timing at dusk is very important. This small addition to the tripod is very useful. Its well made and very strong and as its carbon fibre very light too. I have used it to extend my tripod, add height to a mini tripod for lights, mics and camera.
There is a 1/4@ thread on the top for adding a head or directly attaching your camera and a1/4" female thread on the bottom to attach to your tripod. The height adjustment ring is easy and smooth to use but locks it well.
This is an accessory I didn't know I needed until I started using it, very versatile and ideal for my kit bag.
