Life changing!!
I am a PMU (retired photographer) i always used a ring light in my previous profession and using one while tattooing was the best option for
Crisp pictures and enough light to spread over their face. However the dang stands were always in the way.
This
Mount...
Complete game changer. Took boyfriend about 20 minutes to PROPERLY install. Couldn’t be happier.

Very satisfied!!
If you own a ring light that is kept in a general area then this is a must have accessory! I absolutely love this wall mount, in fact, once this was installed it drastically increased the functionality of my ring light as it freed up a significant amount of floor space by eliminating the base of the ring light, the appearance of the wall mount is so much more classy then a bulky base, the wall mount allows easy & accurate positioning of the ring light, sturdy & great value for price point! Only complaint I have is the instructions are not very clear & the mounting hardware was useless we purchased our own but it was a small price to pay for a great product!

Just what I was looking for
I have a small upstairs video studio for making product videos. I was getting tired of having my light stands taking up tons of space. So I searched for a means to get rid of the stands and attach the lights to the wall. This is it. I mounted it into the studs (using the center holes) and it is as solid as a rock. It has tons of adjustments so I can get the lights just the way I want them. I bought two. They have made a big improvement in my studio for a very fair price.

Finally I can do the down shots I need to using this!
I have been borrowing from Mickey Mouse and Donal Duck for so long, my setup was really looking Goofy.
I would clamp on a shelf my studio/strobe light, and it's fallen more than once.
Now, with this wall mount boom, I almost look like a professional!
I screwed it into the wall studs, and it's solid!
Hard part was trying to figure out just the right position, took a lot of cuss words, but got it set up just right.
I love that I can swing it up or down, sideways, or just leave it alone.
Best thing I got for shooting in a long time!!!!
Thanks!

Product 5 stars. Company 1
Did not come with instructions and tried to call manufacturer and literally played phone tag with someone and they told me to just watch YouTube to see how to set it up... there were no videos on YouTube and THEY should be able to tell me. Overall not impressed with the company. We finally got and after we realized we did not have all the parts! Yep... pretty stupid waste of time when someone could’ve made contact with us rather than telling me to watch YouTube rather than give customer service.

Great product
Has held up well mounted into studs. I bought this on a discount buy from Amazon and bought a black one at normal price, both work well but I think the black ones look more finished.

Works really well!
Guys, I have to tell you, I was pretty unsure when I bought this thing... but it's great!
I had to mount it sideways on a joist in my living room, cause it's a little too big height-wise, but it still articulates and holds in a near 180 degree sweep.
I used 4 bolt screws, not the ones provided, to screw it in to my joist. Since it's a joist it's wood. The provided bolts are for drywall or cement.
I use this with a dual purpose. We effectively turned our living room in to a vlogging studio. So when people are being interviewed, I attach my shotgun mic to it. This keeps it above camera and eliminates using any C-Stands or mic stands.
Cleverly, when my wife does some sewing tutorials, we roll in her cutting table and attach a go pro or Iphone to the mount to also do birdseye shots.
We love this so much we are thinking of picking up a few more to dangle our softbox lights off of in the garage!
The only thing I would say is, unlike me, make sure to measure the area where you want to put it. I was lucky it worked sideways, but it is much bigger than it seems in the pictures.
Also, it's fairly light and feels like a safe weight to hang, which is great.

So Far So Good (Included Hardware is a Joke)
I am using this to hang a fairly substantial COB monolight (Nanlite Forza 200) with an Angler Octabox. Never in a million years would I trust the included hardware for such a task.
With this much weight, the arm is a little hesitant to adjust in terms of angle but it's still doable--just something to consider if you would need to frequently make adjustments. For my purposes, it may never be adjusted again (only pivoted horizontally, and the bracket for function is robust.
One quick note for those with 8ft ceilings. Mounting this over a door will allow you to get 2 screws in the doorway studs and 2 screws in your room's header stud. In other words: super secure. Also, the 49" version is long enough for my light to be clear of my door, even with the big octabox on there.

Question & Answer
Question :
It states max length is 49", but what is the minimum length (when arm is not fully extended)?
Answer :
It’s ridiculous that you wouldn’t include this I’m the listing. My mind is blown.
Question :
What is the max weight the arm can carry?
Answer :
I own 2 of these units, I don’t know what the max weight is, however I have mounted Wescott LED heads with 4 foot flash box modifiers attached, they held firm no problem. I have also mounted Profoto B1s with 48 inch modifiers again with no problem. These units are solid and mount firm. Hope this helps.
Question :
can you hang a microphone from it
Answer :
If you can put the microphone on a standard Light stand, you can use it on this. I have 2, but have only used it for speedlights.
Question :
Can you put a dslr on it? i'm looking for an option to pull down from my wall like this for over head camera videos
Answer :
Yes but make sure when you install it to find the studs or use strong anchors if installing on drywall.
These work good

Question :
Is the 1/4-20 stud the reversible type with a 3/8-16 thread on the opposite end? Can't tell from photos.
Answer :
Yes, it is the reversible type!
Question :
What type of light box do i need?
Answer :
I got the EXCELVAN set of three boxes. They work great. I also got some LED light bulbs for a whiter and brighter lighting.
Question :
what is the weight capacity of the arm when fully extended?
Answer :
I don’t knowww! Sorry.
Question :
I need a boom arm that goes up/down and left/right. This only goes one of those. Do you offer anything that will move in both dimensions?
Answer :
This boom goes up/down and left/right. Your are mistaken if you think it doesn't!
Question :
Can any brand ring like be attached to this arm?
Answer :
I do not know what you mean by ring. The arm comes with a fitting at the end that is the same as the fitting on lighting tripods. It is very flexible with adjustments in all directions making it easy to orient the lights in any direction.
Question :
did anyone try it yet for a glamcor light??
Answer :
I use 2 brackets with strobes and 22x28 softboxes, but should be able to handle more weight if mounted correctly.
