However; the bolt handle on my FN was not so lovable. My gunsmith quoted me $225 to grind the knob down and turn the knob into more stem. Then thread the former knob and screw on a new handle. In the meantime I said let me try the rubble ball for $10. I now love my bolt handle. Bolting is faster and easier and I don't move as much. I am thinking of buying several more of these. I bought a second one of these silicone balls to mount on my Beeman QB Chief II Plus air rifle bolt. The TAC Vector is a sloppy fit, but I fixed the problem with black Sugru. I pinched off small beads of the Sugru and filled the silicone ball cavity, then I forced the ball over the bolt handle. I cleaned off the Sugru that oozed out and let it set for two days to get firm. The silicone of the TAC Vector knob is compatible firmness with the Sugru. Now it's a tight custom fit to the air rifle bolt handle.

If you have a rifle with a 90 degree lift on the bolt (many rifles do), further aggravated by a bolt shaped the "wrong" way, it can be a problem. I have used these (and I really like them) on my Remington 581s and 541s with a 60 degree bolt lift, so no problem. Some rifles have the shorter bolt lift, but if not yours, you may need High scope rings .

It fits on my Savage Mdl 25 Varmint rifle bolt knob. I think mine measured approx. 1/2" to 5/8". Had enough clearance from rifle stock. If you get one follow simple instructions about heating in hot water.

Boil some hot water and put into a cup drop item in cup for about 30 seconds remove, I dried inside of ball before putting on knob of bolt. When the rubber is hot it will slip on easily. Mine is a nice tight.
