Love it

At 71, I am digitizing my family history as well as my wife's - approximately 30 banker boxes worth. I have built a stand using 3/4" galvanized pipe and fittings and am using my canon 7D DSLR camera attached to the stand.
The problem is that so many of the photos and documents will not lay flat. Without the stand, I started out trying to hold down the corners with quarters. This magnetic stand came with 2 magnetic strips which I found difficult to use.
I had some small rare earth magnets which worked exceptionally well and were small enough to to stay out of the picture for the most part. 5 stars for the magnetic board.

Excellent product.

It has all the features I needed. I can either mount it on the wall or on the platform of my copy stand to photograph my work. The magnets are a plus. I am very satisfied.

Warmth ... why would that need to be rated???

I am using this board to pin down old heirloom 120 photos from the 1930’s and forward. This combined with a copy table work great.

Question & Answer

Question :

Is the surface of this board shiny or matte? Is there a problem with reflections?

Answer :

It's not a glossy or shiny surface. It's not reflective. I always used lights off to the sides though, never from directly above.
