Works perfectly
This is a straightforward nicely made remote control that appears to be the same as previous Olympus remote controls except for the smaller connector on the end of the cable. It means that I have one control for the OM-D EM-5, and a second control for the OM-D EM-5 III, both looking the same except for the connector. The fact that Olympus changed the connector on the camera is a slight nuisance, but we have to remember that the design of something as complicated and elegant as the EM-5 III requires thousands of design decisions, and shrinking one connector can allow an improvement in another part of the design. They did not do it so they could sell more remote controls...

Premium product at a premium price
I previously had a much less expensive remote for my Olympus OMD E-M1 camera. It worked fine but but the Olympus remote has some nice refinements that make using it easier and more comfortable.
1. The cable is much softer and more flexible, not the stiff vinyl found in less expensive cables.
2. You can easily lock the shutter open with one hand. Just press the lock button, then the shutter button. No need to hold the button down with one hand while sliding the retainer with the other.
3. In my subjective opinion, this overall has a higher quality feel in your hand and while operating.
In the end, you'll have to decide if the extra money is worth it based on your own priorities.

It works
Works fine as far as a basic OEM cable release goes. I've always believed these things are overpriced for what you get, but it is OEM and not a third-party knock-off, which may or may not work or last very long.

Works well, but a little pricey
I complain about the price, but there is another side to this: I ordered a low-cost after market release that didn't work from day one. This one does what it is supposed to do.

Question & Answer
Question :
Does it work with om-d e-m5 ii ?
Answer :
NO. The RM-CB2 is for the EM5 III. Your camera manual should tell you which cable release is needed. For the EM5-II, you need the RM-UC1, and the connector is like a mini-USB. Look in the side of the camera for a rectangular socket.
Question :
Will this work on the new om systems omd-1 camera? (yes, i know that they have a new remote for the omd-1, but i already have this one.)
Answer :
Yes, the current remote release you have will work on the OM-1
Question :
Where is the correct connection on the omd-em1 mk5? the plug receptacles do not seem to accept this 2.5 mm stereo adapter?
Answer :
There is no EM1 Mk5.
Question :
Will this work on an omd em1 mark iii camera?
Answer :
"Designed especially for the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II", that's what I'm using it with. Under compatibility, the B&H website says: Designed for use with: Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark III. So if that is accurate, then YES.
Question :
How long is the cable?
Answer :
3 feet long total
