Wide! And great
Rokinon, please stop raising the prices to your lenses! This lens is fantastic, there is distortion but depending on what shot you get. No matter what, every wide lens will have distortion but you must know that coming in. I use this lens for property videos because it gets absolutely everything! I also do a ton of photo shoots with this lens. Highly recommend!

Beautiful images, easy to use
Worked great for photographing for Real Estate Photography. Own a 50mm Rokinon lens that I love for video & photography so wanted to buy a wide angle lens too. Just know this is a manual lens, nothing automatic.

Great lens for the price.
I use this on my bmpcc4k. Works very well for the price, and the picture quality is excellent. I have more expensive Canon lenses that I attach with a Viltrox adapter, but the Rokinon works just as well and better in some situations.

Best manual wide lens I've used
Been playing around with this lens for a while now, at first I was afraid to make the purchase since several reviews said that their unit had some manufacturing issues but mine was perfectly fine.

Gorgeous lens, put it on my JVC LS300 its a great wide angle lens with very little distortion. The quality you get for the price warrants the 5 stars.

Question & Answer
Question :
How is this different from the previous version, just the cine. What makes this any better or is it worth the price difference?
Answer :
"DS" stands for dual scale, meaning the markings are duplicated on opposite sides of the lens to aid in left- or right-handed focus pulling. The gears on the aperture and focus rings are in the same position on all DS lenses so you won't need to move your follow focus when you swap lenses. The lenses are also color-matched to make intercutting footage easier (without having to do as much grading to equalize color differences in shots from different lenses). If all of that sounds like gibberish, or if you're just buying one of these (not a partial or full set), then just buy the cheaper cine version and save a few bucks!
Question :
can I use a Black magic cinema pocket camera with this lens?
Answer :
This is the best answer to the question on exposer from T to Fstop:

Hi TheoO,
These being cinema lens, the aperture ring is marked in T/stops rater than F/stops. An F/stop is a calculated measurement of the ratio between the focal length of the lens and the diameter of the front element. It really says nothing about the amount of light passing through the aperture. It's just a ratio. A T/stop is a measurement of light transmitted through the aperture, thus the "T" in T-stop. T/stops are always the same regardless of the lens' focal length or manufacturer so if you light a set for T/3.1 for a 50mm lens and one of the shots calls for an 85mm lens, it's safe to set the 85mm to T/3.1 since that is what was light for. So, a T/1.5 Zeiss 50mm transmits the same amount of light as a T/1.5 85mm Cooke and neither light nor aperture need to change if the set was light for T/1.5 and a lens swap is called.
Since the F-stop doesn't account for the loss of light that all lenses encounter and the T/stop does, that means a T/3.1 is roughly the same as a F/2.8.
Question :
Wait so it's 14mm on every camera but micro 43? Why would it still say 14mm then?!
Answer :
14 mm is the focal length of the lens. Micro 4/3 is the type of attachment. 14mm lens gives a wider, farther away view as opposed to 35mm or 85 mm. Those could all still use a 4/3 attachment.
Question :
What is the best solution to mounting a polarizer on this lens?
Answer :
I don’t think you can. This lens has a curved element.
Question :
Can I use it on with my sony a7 iii?
Answer :
Yes you can regards Steve 1-800-221-2253 cambridgeworld
Question :
Will this fit my canon T3i?
Answer :
Yes, it will mount to T3i, but it is designed for full frame cameras. It will crop at a 1.6x, and will give you an equivalent field of view of 22.5mm.
Question :

Answer :
