How far away can you be from an object for this light to still be effective?

For underwater photography it all depends on depth and environment. Fresh water vs salt. Try SeaLife for a scale but there are just a lot of variables. I use it on a SeaLife Micro 2.0 up to depths of 100 ft and it has worked well in my pictures.
