A Professional Solution For a Budget
As far as Matteboxes go, you cant get anythibg this good at this price point. Even tilta can't get it down this low. The fact that this matte-box is VERY light, comes with adapters for a plethora of lens step up rings, and takes TWO 4x4 or 4x5.6 filters that lock in makes this a a solution a aspiring professional can utilize and build upon. Light-weight matte box with two filter slots
This is a very light-weight matte box (297 grams) with two filter trays! The matte box is 9' x 5.7', compatible with the 4x4 or 4x5.6 filter. The filter slot door on the side is very secure and protects the filter very well. The top flag is made of carbon fiber and looks very nice. It comes with 4 adapter rings (67 mm, 72 mm, 77 mm, 82 mm) and easy to put on. The matte box also has a 1/4 in screw hole on the bottom for the box support for rail mounting.
The product also comes with a really nice box, which is not often seen in SmallRig parts.

A professional experience
Ok, I wanted a matte box so I could look more professional. I think client experience is something important and I want that validation on a good project. I HAVE used some filters like a pro-mist and an ND which I love and honestly its nice for the added protection.
The flap could be a little sturdier but its fine. Quality is great. I was looking btwn this and the Tilta but I think the size on this was just better for a black magic rigged out. And its easier it seems to get the filters out of the box too.
Overall great purchase, I definitely use it out in the field and for cases where I want to look more professional.

Pro level hood for a great price
Very lightweight but very strong build. I love the filter slot. It takes 2 different sizes but I opted for the 4x4 filters and they slide in with ease and stay in place. Actually, our Light Matte Box 2660 doesn't come with the extra filter tray, and it doesn't need a filter tray as well. There are two chutes built in the Matte Box, which are specially used for placing filters.

The function of the Matte Box tends to be a light source barrier rather than a support.
And this LWS Rod Support is designed to mount SmallRig Matter Box 2660 onto the 15mm LWS rod system via 1/4”-20 screw, and it cannot be directly installed under the lens
