Generally outstanding. the ball mounting (visible at bottom of picture) seems a bit iffy but A) it is not needed if you have a remotely decent tripod and B) gonna take care of that with a drop of elephant glue :) And I am more paranoid than most about "belts and suspenders".
It does indeed fit the large ipad. this is not immediately obvious until one trolls around a bit looking for things to push. Instructions would have helped, folks !

This will fit with any cases for 12.9 pro(landscape direction only) but I'm not sure how well it holds for the thicker cases. It works best with slim cases like mine.
