Best cloths for cleaning optics and doesn't keep so much dust and hair on it
I detest other microfiber cloths except for Zeiss. I love the small ones and these large ones are no different in their make up.
The cloths I use for cleaning my extensive inventory of professional photography equipment.
A lot of other microfiber cloths not only attract dust and hair by their static electric charge, but they TRANSFER it to the item you are trying to clean.
These cloths do not seem to pick up a static electric charge, but they also still are very effective at wiping away dust and hair etc. from surfaces.
I use these to also clean my TV screens, binoculars as well as sunglasses etc.
They are not abrasive, obviously, and really, no microfiber cloth will be.
But I find the stated above reason to give these cloths a 5 star rating.
They also hold up well through multiple washings. I do dry them with a dryer sheet so being lint free for the most part is maintained.
Over time of course they will build up lint and pile, like any cloth is wont to do.
When fairly new, I can actually use Zeiss cloths to wipe away dust particles inside my DSLR cameras (the mirror).
Perhaps some folks might yell at me for that, but it's not necessary to use sensor swabs for that.
I also do not find canned air worth a damn. The cloths are better.

I've worn glasses for 50 years and this is the best I've found.
I was reading the reviews for this item and found that mine was no longer posted . I've worn glasses for about 50 years now and this item is the best cleaning cloth I've ever had. I like some, bought my first one from " Wallyworld" when it grew legs I tried the knock off they replaced it with and wasn't happy. My experience is that when cleaning glasses they smear much less than other cloths. When they do start smearing a lot it usually means its time to wash the cloth. Cold water in the washer with normal laundry detergent and without fabric softener and hang dry . When finished even my oldest one at three years preformed like new. They work even better if you use a lense cleaning solution with them but still work well without. I use them for glasses, televisions, computers and my cell phones if Zeiss made a giant size for windshields and windows I'd use it there too. Now if I can only keep them from "growing legs" and disappearing on me.

High quality cloth
The cloth is very large and very soft. Seems to be lint free, but since it is white, I cleaned my lens once and it was quickly soiled. Like others have said though, if I ever need to clean it, I can always buy another one since the price is right. I needed it to wrap my nd filter inside of its unlined pouch. It easily bundles up the large diameter (77mm) nd filter that I have, and it is big enough to fold in half and still wrap it up.
Pros:
- Large size is good so that you can use parts of the whole cloth to extend the life before you need to wash or replace it.
- No stitching or finish on the edges which could possibly scratch your lenses
- Mostly lint free microfiber cloth is very soft
- Very inexpensive
Cons:
- Not much to complain about, but maybe it would have been nice to have a bag to store it in so that it won't get dirty in your bag, but that's just being critical.
Conclusion:
If I ever need another cleaning cloth, I would not hesitate to buy this again. The large size is very convenient, and since the material is so soft, and thin, you can still fold it up and put it in one of the small pockets in your camera bag.

Simply the best
It's simply the best micro fiber cloth for photo and video equipment out there.
It's very soft, large and comfortable to use. I bought 2 just in case. It works great and grabs oils perfectly.
I sometimes use them to wrap the lenses before putting them into my bag... just for extra security.
These are hard to fault. Get one!

Great lens cloth.
While birding, I find that I need to clean my eyeglasses, camera, and binoculars frequently, especially early in the morning when the temperature is low enough for everything to fog up.
I had a lens cloth that I had used for years that disappeared after my last trip. I like these cloths because they are thin so they don't take up much space in my pocket, and they clean without scratching the lens.
You can find less expensive lens cloths, but these are well worth the extra cost.

I hope someone keeps making thesee
For cleaning high end screens and glasses and high end optics I haven't found anything better. Small cloths don't work and other fiber types have all kinds of other issues. This one works for all the big lenses and eye glasses and high dollar screens.

These also wash up easily, but be sure not to add fabric softener ...
What most impressed me about this cloth is its size. Most microfiber clothes sold for use on camera lenses are smaller in size, perhaps only 3" to 4" or so. It's so much easier to use when you have more cloth to work with. I purchased 2; one is in my camera bag and the other is used daily to clean my glasses. These also wash up easily, but be sure not to add fabric softener to the load otherwise it will affect its performance.

No Lint—Really
The best thing about this microfiber cloth is that since it doesn't have a pile, it doesn't leave tiny fibers stuck to your lenses, etc., as so many other microfiber cloths do. That makes this cloth great for high-end cameras, lenses, etc.

The best
I tried other brands and was disappointed. They left a film. I tossed those and ordered Zeiss brand. I will not use anything else. Perfect!!!

GREAT product!
If you wear glasses you need these. Super large so you can easily cut this into four squares. This is a miracle cloth, no water required to have perfectly clean glasses. Keep one in the car! Thank you for offering a really great product.

Question & Answer
Question :
Best way to wash Zeiss microfiber cloth?
Answer :
I wash mine separately in cold water. DO NOT use fabric softener. If it is stained I use a product like oxyclean or spray & wash or Resolve. I always use a second rinse cycle to ensure that all cleaning product residue is rinsed out then I either tumble dry on low again separately or air dry. Keeping them separate and not using fabric softener to my mind helps to keep the microfiber from being compromised. So far mine may have a few stains that haven't come out but they still clean well and don't streak unless they need to be washed. The oldest is about three years old. I haven't gotten this performance out of any cloth except Zeiss
Question :
How do you clean the cloth?
Answer :
Light and fast damage cloth.
Question :
What is the texture of this zeiss cloth? does it have a silky feel, is it more like suede, or is it somewhere in-between, like the magicfiber?
Answer :
It is silkier and of lighter weight than the MagicFiber. I actually like both depending on what I'm using it for. Cloth Addiction is my favorite but too expensive.
Question :
How many Jumbo Microfiber cloths are included in this purchase?
Answer :
ONE!? For $7 you may as well buy the X2 8oz cleaner and 2 free smaller Zeiss microfiber cloths at $10. This is far too much for a single cloth no matter how nice they are (and they are nice)
Question :
What are these cloths made of? Is it cotton or some synthetic polymer?
Answer :
not cotton, made of a real fine microfiber material, great cloths...I have 5 of them
Question :
Can this be cut into smaller sizes without fraying?
Answer :
We would not recommend cutting it in to smaller pieces.
Question :
Can these clean glasses?
Answer :
Yes they clean glasses. The material that they are made from is the best material for your lenses as it doesn't scratch them.
Question :
can i use these on microscope objectives?
Answer :
Yes. This would be fine for microscope objectives.
Question :
Any dye on this? Is it safe to use on skin? Thanks
Answer :
No dye and skin safe.
Question :
Is it still available
Answer :
Hello, yes, it is avaiable
