Exceptional quality
The quality of construction, as is typical of all Zeiss products, is exceptional. The metal ring easily mounts onto the front of the lens, and twisting of the filter to adjust to polarizer is very smooth and precise. The filter is also very easy to remove from the lens...in significant use, I have yet to notice any problems with the filter's threads being stuck on the lens.
A polarizer is generally helpful for those of you who want to mitigate any bright sheen off of wet subjects (i.e. wet rocks, surface water, etc...). A polarizer will also help add a deep blue saturated sky to your images. To make it work, simply turn the filter until you see the desirable effects you want, then stop turning the filter. I rarely shoot without one during daylight hours.
I've used many, many filters in my time, and the Zeiss polarizer is among the highest quality I've seen.

Was looking for a CPL for my Voigtlander and Zeiss prime lenses, they're optically exceptional so wanted something that wouldn't degrade the quality or add any color cast or CA.
After doing a great amount of research I opted for the B+W XS-Pro Kaesemann filter, very expensive, however it wasn't available and I needed one in a hurry for a new lens, so thought if this Zeiss T* is coming out the same Cosina factory then it must be decent. I can confirm it is great, functions as expected, image quality retained, no color casting, no loss of detail, quality is on point and what you'd hope for. I also have Kase, Lee, Kenko, Hoya, K+N polarisers and I'd say this is the best.
I've coupled this with a (fantastic) Breakthrough Photography step up ring and use it on various lenses including the Voigtlander 2/50mm APO, which is one of the very best APO lenses in production, so since it performs well on this, that's a big vouch for the product.

Excellent quality Filter. Good solid weighty feel to it. Not cheap but I bought it to go onto my Carl Zeiss Batis lenses and didn't want to compromise the high quality of the lenses.
