I purchased this cable to use Samsung monitor as the main screen for my MacBook Pro and it works well.
If your laptop does not have HDMI out port then you will need to get an adapter, which for me was ThunderBolt to HDMI adapter.
I've been using it for over 4 months now and have no issue. I'm pretty sure this will work well on PC or Chromebook that has HDMI out port.
I really like the nylon braid cord, which seems very strong and sturdy, not to mention you can bend and wrap around very easily without damaging the cord.
6 feet long should be more than enough for most setup. I actually needed about 1 foot long cable as my monitor is right next to the laptop (as you can see in the picture) so I just wrap the cables around with a velcro but 6 feet length might come in handy when I decide to set up my laptop and monitor differently in the future. Better safe to have longer length than short.
BOTTOM LINE:
I highly recommend this cable for connecting your laptop to DVI monitor using HDMI out port. You can also do so with MacBook as I did but make sure you have HDMI out port or you will need to buy an HDMI adapter.

Use that old monitor with DVI input
Excellent quality adapter, I'm very pleased! For an (older) monitor with a DVI input, you'll probably need one of these to hook up your newer laptop. The HDMI port on the laptop is the one you keep trying to plug USB things into and it doesn't fit. Newer monitors do not have DVI, so know what you need before you order. Make sure to fix the display on your computer to "extend" and you'll have double the workspace--such a relief!

These cables work great. The wrapping on the cables is great, firm enough to organize yet flexible enough to route as needed. There is not much else to say there... the connector ends mate perfectly with their respective corresponding connector and there is no signal issues, at least that I can see.
My complaint.... the connector casing is aluminum, and I knew this when buying. The issue is that aluminum is conductive. While I know this, at time of purchase, I thought that aluminum would be a more sturdy connector than plastic. Having time to think this through, I question that. While this happening should be quite rare, should anything providing power contact the aluminum, I question what damage to the connected equipment might be caused. I would prefer an aluminum core maybe, but with a rubberized coating, or something similar. Electrically speaking, I cannot see now isolated that casing is, so it is an unknown.
I would highly recommend these cables however. They are sturdy and well built. My concerns are not at all to be considered common, but rare at best. I just felt the need to express my opinion and experience.

I am very impressed with the quality, style, sturdiness, packaging, speed of delivery. This is a very high quality cable. Arrived withing days of ordering - unexpectedly fast. I attached an image of the cable once immediately out of the box: the cable was vacuum sealed with thick plastic - unexpectedly wonderful. I connected the cable from the laptop to external monitor, had to go into display settings and extend desktop to external monitor and I must tell you that the acuity/resolution of the monitor has vastly improved: I didn't realize the monitor could actually obtain this resolution.
Now, I have to check all other monitors to see whether they can take this cable. Hell, I may just purchase more just to look at and admire them.

Aside from the very stiff cord (which may be the result of the outer sleeve material), there's nothing to complain about here. It's a good quality cord, albeit very difficult to bend or wrap into tight places. If your connection points are far enough away that you have about a 6" radius of space in which to curve the cord, it'll work just fine but int tighter areas, it may feel like it'll crack the wires inside if you bend it too much.

This is a heavy duty braided cable with excellent signal transmission. It fits securely onto the DVI port on my older computer, and into the HDMI port on my new monitor. Perfect for 2 TV setup with PC
I have a gaming PC with a Radeon RX570 video card. I was trying to connect 2 large televisions to my PC instead of monitors. One was easy via HDMI. New connector that I was not familiar with
I recently purchased a new refurb PC and I was concerned about being able to use two monitors with it. I purchased two different DVI video cards, but both were two large for the small form case that I had. I noticed two ports on the back of the machine which were not on my very old PC, these were labeled as DP. Agreed, it should work, and in theory it would have no signal loss. But don't go fiddling with the connectors too much or you might break them. I've broken many an adapter doing this sort of daisy chaining.

This cable DOES, in fact, support digital audio IF (and only if) your graphics card supports it AND you connect the DVI-D connector to the GPU with the HDMI connector going to a television or monitor capable of receiving audio via HDMI. I'm doing precisely that right now with an old GeForce 680 card; the audio comes through quite nicely, thank you. 24b/48k, in fact. Note that the reverse configuration is less likely to work since most monitors will not source digital audio from a DVI connector.

Yes, I just used it with an RTX 2050 to a Dell 1908FP. I was originally using a different brand's DVI to HDMI cable, and I had so many problems I don't even want to think about it. I just swapped out the cable with this one as a last resort and, voila, everything works.

I used this cable to connect my new monitor to my desk top computer. My video card needed the dvi end and the new monitor needed to be HDMI. I'm guessing that the "console" you're referring to is a Xbox or play station. If you are trying to connect the console to the TV you'll need to see what type of connector it requires. Please refer to your documentation that came with both the console and the TV. That should tell you what to buy.
