Helps you get those top-down shots without breaking the bank!

I have been getting into food photography and needed a budget friendly way to get those crisp top-down shots. I did not want to go out of my way and buy a whole new tripod or rig to get this shot. This accessory is the perfect solution because it allows you to connect it to a tripod that you already own. I attached my own ball-head to it and put my Sony a6300 on it and had no issues. It was attached to my Manfrotto befree aluminum tripod. With this light setup, it works out very well. If you have a heavier setup then you can always add a counterweight to the hook on the opposite end.

Pros:
Portable
Budget friendly
Compatible with almost any tripod
Has a hook to counter balance

Cons:
Wish it extended a little longer

In conclusion, if you are looking for a budget friendly way of getting into product/food photography then I would highly recommend making a setup with this.

A very useful item, and just what I was looking for

This 'tripod boom' (that is what I call it) has been working well for my specific needs. I do close up and macrophotography of insects in the field, and in some situations I had needed to be able to lean the camera in close, while not disturbing the brush near the subject. This boom does the trick, and I am glad it is sold separately from the K & F tripod that includes this item since I already have a tripod. It has standard attachments to go with any tripod and any tripod head, of course, and it is very solid but also light. My only quibble (a small one) is that I did not get instructions for how to assemble the several parts that came. I figured that out, though it took me more than one try.

I am using this along. With a k&F tripod I bought a long time ago. Even though it's higher in price, I wish I bought it instead of all the useless cheap ones I used that all broke. This attachment is sturdy and strong. It extends out meaning you might need to fill a grocery bag with cans to counter balance it. I noticed a lot of people giving low stars because it didn't come with its own sandbag for counterbalancing.....Really?

For the price, this is great. Does the job I'm happy.

100% useful and well made

I needed this for extending a camera past the tripod and it is a perfect solution. Easy to set up, solid control, and if I would buy it again if I needed a second application

I am impressed with this rotatable multi-angle center column. I am able to get the product shots with this very easily and it holds the weight of my canon 80D camera very easily.

For what it is it is great.

For the money it is a great little addition to your tripod. Allowing you to make a overhead rig with just a small additional part. It isn't the most study, I would be hesitant to put anything superheavy on it. But you can add a counter weight.

Question:Will this work with a geekoto at24pro dreamer?
Answer:Not familiar with the product but I have an older Manfrotto tripod. I believe it will work almost any tripod

Question:The part that’s directly under the camera and connects it to the column, where can I find that part?
Answer:That's a ball head. There are different types of tripod heads. I like ball heads myself, if the camera and lens aren't too heavy. Amazon or any pro camera store has tripod heads. Manfrotto is a pro's choice. You can spend hundreds of $$$ on heads, but for a regular guy like me, $100.00 to $200.00 is good. I have a Manfrotto 498 which is good for a DSLR (Nikon D500) and an 60mm prime lens. Compare to the Manfrotto 405. That's a great head, but pricey. It has three adjustment knobs. There is a weight rating on tripod heads, use that as your guide to purchase, how much gear are you going to put on top of it. You're not going to be able to put that much weight on that "multi angle center column" anyway, so the head doesn't need to be over kill. Beware not to get a video head. Google it, there are loads of options and types. Maybe swing by your local pro camera store and talk to someone about the pros and cons. A good tripod head should last decades, so get a good one.
