This is a review of the 100ft coax. Many complaints were regarding the soldering of the center pin of the PL259. Pic's are on the ends of the coax I received. Not the best, I've done worse but I don't sell to others. For the price I am not complaining. I will heat up the centers to ensure the solder is not just at the tip and flows along the pin.
A basic continuity check showed no shorts between the center and shield. If I run into issues during use, I will update this review. |

★★★★★ | Good Quality RG8x Coaxial |
Size: 20 ft | Verified Purchase |
The twenty foot piece that I ordered was installed as an extension to an existing magnetically mounted quarter wave vertical that I have on top of my refrigerator. I live in an apartment complex with no way to put anything outside or on the roof. This section of coax did not cause any difference in the current being drawn by my transceiver in the transmit mode. That would indicate that there is no serious change in the line impedance, in other words no lump in the transmission path. I have not checked it with an analyzer for all of the good stuff like impedance and VSWR but the no change in current is a good sign. The PL259's were very easy to start and threaded right on....very easy to turn, a sign of good quality. You could say they almost spun on to my Yaesu and then onward to the female Amphenol SO joiner. This cable nomenclature is a little misleading in that you might think you are getting RG-8U, which has a larger body. This cable is just a tad bit larger in diameter than RG-58U...but still, if this cable has good guts inside the loss will be nominal and maybe less than some cheaply made RG-8u bargains that have really poor quality connectors. This seems to be really quality coax that was perfect for my needs. I am using it on Two Meters with a power output of a full eighty watts RF. Soon this section of line will be going solo to a five element wide spaced two meter yagi which I am building. A real monster for an apartment dweller.
I will be using an analyzer for that project in the near future to see all of the technical aspects of my line and if there is a problem with this cable I will revise my review rating. For the moment though, I cannot imagine that we will find any discrepancies with it. I am an experienced Radio and Television broadcast engineer and also a ham operator. Over the years you develop intuitive senses about products, there looks, the hardware attached,...etc. Certainly no alarms have gone off concerning my 20ft length of RG8x Coaxial Cable from the seller RF Adapter.
My order was delivered on time and was in original packaging which is surely indicative of brand new merchandise. I am satisfied with seller, the promptness of delivery and all other aspects of this order. Dan Wolff W5UPX |

It's coax.. It does its job.. It's nothing special but a good buy for the money.. |

★★★★★ | Acceptable quality within the limits of 70 meter |
Size: 50 ft | Verified Purchase |
50 feet to a 5/8 wave 70 meter Browning base antenna with little loss. Decent quality pl259 with fairly good solder connections. Decent flexible outside material. As this was a premade fabricated cable I cannot comment on the braids or Shield but it provides good field test with very little leakage. |

★★★★★ | An okay Coaxial Cable for Ham Radio |
Size: 50 ft | Verified Purchase |
This is an Okay coaxial cable for Ham Radio or CB. One thing to note is to check the soldering on the PL-259's that come on it. Make sure it is connecting with the center conductor and is not a cold joint. I would not recommend it for high wattages or much over 100 watts regardless of the rating. For very short runs it seems fine on VHF and UHF. I used 50 feet run for a 220mhz antenna and had a very acceptable 1.2 SWR on most of the band. I also used a section for 440 and 2 meters and had a very good SWR reading on most those bands. That said, I did have to resolder the PL-259's but I would recommend it for a get by till something better comes around coaxial cable. It's not great but it certainly worth using on short runs. |

★★★★★ | CB works so... |
Size: 20 ft | Verified Purchase |
Its a cable. 20 foot was about the right length for a Wrangler 2 door (2 foot too long running through the interior and mounting near the roof). Glad I did not get a shorter one for where the cb is located (center of cab, near roof). Shorter would have been better if mounting below the dash (16'?). But the CB works, so the cable is doing its job! |

★★★★★ | Great coax! Decent loss up to 902MHz/33cm!! |
Size: 50 ft | Verified Purchase |
For station or even QRP rigs, this is great coax cable. I’m really surprised how little loss this is for 50ft. Granted, it does seem to dip at around the ham/CB bands, but it’s not too bad. Even if you lose a few watts, it will hardly be noticeable during operation. This coax is also very loose and flexible to store in a backpack. |

★★★★★ | Just a fine piece of coax |
Size: 100 ft | Verified Purchase |
This coax arrived undamaged and ready to use. I was expecting something a little more like an RG8, but the thickness is more like RG58. I've not done any specific testing except to hook up an antenna and transmit. The SWR is as expected and I'm hitting local repeaters on UHF and VHF. In my opinion that's a pass. |

★★★★★ | Good enough for small projects |
Size: 50 ft | Verified Purchase |
I’ve bought several rolls of this over the past 2 years. Always feedline for smaller projects like tape measure Yagi antennas or roll up J-pole antennas. Usually length is cut to 5 feet and at that short of length it works very well on UHF/VHF with these small projects. |

★★★★★ | Great Quality Coax |
Size: 20 ft | Verified Purchase |
This was just what was needed for a short run to the HF rig. Very good quality and if LMR-400 is too thick to make a run, then this is perfect. I've gotten some shabby coax before but this isn't like those. Very good quality. |
