★★★★★ | Useful | Verified Purchase | Using the 3 out ports. It makes me the work more comfortable | | ★★★★★ | My favorite new piece of camera rig gear | Verified Purchase | There are other NP-F battery plates on the market but there are none that I know of that have all the features of this one! Just about any port you could need are here. You have a USB C output which is also a higher power PD enabled port. There is also a secondary USV C PD port for charging whatever NP-F battery you place in this plate. By the way, in this package they also include a NP-F550 battery which I didn't expect. Certainly not at only $39! Back to the ports, you also have a USB A port. The icing on the cake is that there is also a D-tap port as well. Something that I think sets this battery plate apart from the many others on the market. You have a 4 LED light battery capacity indicator. On the base of the plate is a standard 1/4 20 mount making it easy to either mount directly to the hot shoe with the included cold shoe/monitor mount or to your fuller fledged cine rig.
I love well thought out gear. I like to see a company actually put a lot of thought into a product which with all the different ports this battery plate has, was obviously the case here. As I said in the title of the review, this is my new favorite piece of camera rig gear. | | ★★★★★ | Very versatile | Verified Purchase | Such a versatile accessory. I use this power adapter to charge my A7III when I run low on battery. I only have one battery. From time to time, I get caught short of juice in my battery. With this power adapter, I just plug this to the USB C of my A7III. This power adapter accept commonly available NP-F batteries. I have a lot of NP-F batteries that I use for my portable lighting setup. Mounting this power adapter on my camera cage, I am at ease and ready to go anytime.
This power adapter is very versatile that it powers through USB C, D-tap and regular USB. I can also charge my NP-F batteries if necessary. I never charge a NP-F battery using this because I simply have a lot (like 4 F970 and 3 F550). I like it that his power adapter has a power light indicator that way I can plan ahead when to replace the NP-F battery. | | ★★★★★ | Small and capable | Verified Purchase | This multi npf power adapter has so many options to help you in power up any device. Starting with the npf battery, it not only can power you up as a standalone battery, but there’s also a type c output to give you a power output option. The npf base itself has a dtap, usb, and type c output option. To use this base to charge an npf battery, the bottom has a type c input to plug in and send power to the base to charge batteries. It comes with a 1/4 screw hole on the back of the base unit, with the included mount in the kit, you can screw it into the base and slip it into a cold shoe mount. This is quite a capable power base unit, if you need power, this can give it to you . | | ★★★★★ | | Verified Purchase | This is no ordinary battery charger, it as multiple usage. At first I was surprised to see all that came with it. You get 3 cable: USB C to USB C, USB C to USB A and another USB C to USB A that comes with the battery. The charger is also a battery pack that can charge multiple kind of device. And there a bracket to mount the battery charger with a 1/4 screw hole on top of your camera or others. This is a great device. | | ★★★★★ | | Verified Purchase | This is kind of a unique product in that it looks like a somewhat ordinary USB NPF550 battery charger, but at a much higher cost. For that money you're getting an included 550 battery and a charger that not only charges that battery at a higher rate than typical chargers, but it doubles as a power supply for various devices. It has a tripod socket on the bottom so it can easily be mounted on a camera cage or other rig to be used to power cameras or lights.
The best thing about it for me is that it has a PD output. This is the only output that can run or charge my Canon M6 Mark ii on the go, as this camera won't accept an ordinary USB C input a a power source. Canon crippled that input, probably to encourage people to buy their $100+ PD charger, in my opinion.
So with this device I can run my camera for really long shoots by powering it from my collection of NPF550 batteries and one battery lasts for 1-2 hours. This is terrific and for that alone it's worth the price to anyone in a similar situation. It's quite clever, really and it's something I'm going to be using a lot. | | ★★★★★ | | Verified Purchase | Overall it's a great product. Solid build quality, tons of ports/power options, rich accessories set included, works like a charm. What else do you need from such devices? The only downside is a price, it's a little bit overpriced, IMO. The fair price should be ~50 CAD considering the rivals and the origin. | | ★★★★★ | | Verified Purchase | This is a very versatile battery setup - there is a crazy variety of charging options here, both for charging the battery and charging or running other things from it. I can run my field monitor from the battery, or charge my phone with it, or charge it with my laptop, etc - very handy for filming! | | See more reviews |
