I received my AirPods as a gift for Christmas 2019. I wipe them down regularly but I couldn’t get them REALLY clean. I fall asleep and wear them all night sometimes, my ears drain when I have allergies, and I just knew that horrible things lurked that I could not see.
I saw online that you could buy sticky stuff to pull out the gunk so I looked on Amazon and found this kit instead, which had the sticky stuff plus some wipes and what looked like a cool little tool.
I just used it and I am not exaggerating when I say I kept shrieking, “OMG!” repeatedly as the blue stuff extricated more and more vile ear matter from the mesh on the AirPods. Then I used the brush on the tool and even MORE stuff came out. (Side note: Do you like Dr. Pimple Popper? You will love this kit. It’s gross, but so satisfying.)
You know that little opening on the top of the AirPod? IT’S DISGUSTING AND I DIDN’T EVEN KNOW IT! I don’t know what kind of Tardis-type properties that thing holds, but way more stuff came of it then looked physically possible.
The tool allows you to swab out the inside of the case with the foam end, and chisel out any remaining dust.
The AirPods sound better now, too, as you would expect.

I’m surprised how well this works. Overall I’m very pleased with this product.
The rounded tiny metal tip picks out the gunk well without damaging the speaker. The blue sticky squares do fairly well getting the gunk out too, but I’m concerned about pressing it against the speaker so I use it on the outside of the pods and the case. The tiny wool brush is amazing, soft and yet strong enough to clean the speaker area. The length of the microfiber rod is plenty to get down inside the charger and cleans it very well. I use the sealed cleaning wipes to clean the cleaner itself, which is very handy. Well thought out little cleaning tool, worth the money.

Works really well for all sorts of things
This set comes with stuff to clean your earbuds and glasses and phone. The important things are for earbuds, like the blue stuff that you can press against the buds to clean wax out of the holes, and the tool that can reach into your earbud case to clean the battery part and has a little brush on the side to brush out the earbud holes. There's a microfiber cloth that you can use on your glasses or phone. There are a few sets of wet/dry cloths in case you need to add a screen protector to your phone.
I didn't try the wet/dry cloths, but I tried everything else, and it all worked. My earbuds are wax free, and my phone and glasses are nice and clear. Everything is looking all pretty. I recommend this set.
