Celestron 8SE Perfect fit
I'm not sure why others indicate it wasn't big enough for a Celestron 8se. These are pictures of the foam packing the scope arrived in, inside this bag. I'd have shown a picture with the telescope inside it but I don't want to take it apart right now. There's two straps going over the top which I'm planning on strapping the tripod to. The only thing missing are pockets for the lenses and filters. I cant vouch for the durability as I just got it, but it looks like it's well made. Can't wait to go somewhere with it!!!

SIZE AND ADAPTABILITY
I HAVE AN CELESTRON 9 1/4" SCT WITH A CRAYFORD BACK ON IT. IF ORDERED A CELESTRON BAG FOR THE C9.25" BUT IT WAS TOO SHORT TO HOLD THE OTA AND FOCUSER AND THERE WAS VIRTUALLY NO ROOM FOR ACCESSORIES. I THOUGHT I'D TRY THIS BAG. I HAD ONE CONCERN AS TO WHETHER OR NOT IT WOULD BE LARGE ENOUGH IN DIAMETER INSIDE. MY SECOND THOUGHT WAS THAT WITH THE EXTRA LENGTH, IT COULD BE USED TO HOLD ACCESSORIES AS WELL. IT WAS NOT ONLY LARGE ENOUGH ON THE INSIDE BUT ALSO HAD ENOUGH ROOM TO PUT MY OWN DIVIDER INSIDE AND AN EYEPIECE CASE. THE CASE HOLDS THE LARGE FINDER AND A 2" MIRROR DIAGONAL AND HAS SPACE FOR A NUMBER OF EYEPIECES. THERE IS ALSO ROOM FOR MY BATTERY THAT WILL POWER UP THE AVX MOUNT AS WELL AS OTHER ACCESSORIES. THE PADDING IS ADEQUATE, THE ZIPPERS ARE NON-MARRING NYLON AND THE FIT AND FINISH ARE PERFECT! I'VE PUT EVERYTHING INSIDE BUT EYEPIECES AND A FEW OTHER ACCESSORES. THIS IS A WINNER!! IT MAY EVEN HOLD A 10" SCT INCLUDING AN OPTIONAL ENDPIECE FOCUSER! HIGHLY RECOMMENDEDED WHERE YOU WANT ONE BAG TO HOLD ALL OF YOUR OTA NEEDS. THE DIVIDER CAME FROM ANOTHER CASE, NOT IN USE AND THE EYEPIECE/ACCESSORY WAS AN OLD AND UNUSED ORION MODEL. EVERYTHING IS A PERFECT FIT. YOU CAN SEE THE OTA HAS SOME BUBBLE WRAP AND A 13 GALLON TRASH BAG OVER IT, I DON'T LIKE DUST. I AM GOING TO ADD AN EXERCISE MAT TO WRAP AROUND THE OTA JUST TO PROVIDE AN EXTRA MARGIN OF SAFETY. As a new owner of an 8 inch telescope this provided a great means to keep it as well as other products I have purchased safe when in transport or storage, however be aware of the dimensions and that for some types of scopes you may find, as I did, that you will need additional storage means. I am not sure that it is designed specifically for a given telescope. I bought it in order to pack and transport the tripod and accessories for my Celestron NexStar 8SE Telescope. It works well for this purpose but I would have preferred more effective padding. All my accessories are stored in strong plastic food containers and they all fit into this bag. I would not recommend the bag for transporting more fragile equipment like the optical tube or arm of a telescope. I store and transport my optical tube and arm in a Celestron Case that is specifically designed for this purpose. IT IS EXPENSIVE but provides the proper protection for the equipment.

My tripod is 38 inches and it fits. My tripod and scope measure over 13 wide and it fits, and it will go 12 inches deep.

When fully loaded the bag is 44" long, 14" wide and 12" high with just a little extra wriggle room. If you telescope and tripod collaspses into those numbers it will fit.

We have the AstroFI 130eq and it fits with the tripod and room to spare. Not sure if that helps. I also made a foam divider to put between the two parts and there was plenty of room for that as well.

Is this good for celesteon 70az telescope with tripod?
Answer :
It is a good soft case. I use it for carrying my tripod and accessories. I am not familiar with the 70AZ, but it will have to be about 38 or 39 inches (in the stored position) to fit the bag. Additionally, if you need protection for your scope, you will something to place inside the bag to help with impact shock. I place my tripod's shipping box inside the bag and it works beautifully.

those are just about the measurements of my scope and tripod. The bag may stretch a bit. It will go 12" deep.

Answer :
It should. I use mine to transport my Skywatcher 150 Mak Cass optical tube , the red/green dot finder, and laser pointer that I use for it. There is room for the 8x50 finder scope as well, but I rarely use that. I added my own custom padding to suit my needs for that scope. I use a Twilight 1 tripod and mount, but that will not fit in the bag with the OTA. Hope this helps.
