use this to attach your dslr camera to your telescope.
i used this T-adaptor to attach our new dslr to our celestron 8se telescope.
it is a quality fitting.
remains tight when turning with fingers. does not have any problems of loose threads when photographing the planets , etc...
i highly recommend.

Arrived on time, works well
Haven't used it as much as I wanted yet, but I tested it and it works fine.
A note to anyone buying a T-adapter for a telescope: remember you need two pieces, the adapter for your specific scope, and the T-ring for your camera, presumably a DSLR.

Hook your camera to your scope.
This connects instead of the visual back on your Celestron (or many other brands) telescope. Combined with the proper T adapter for your camera, it allows you to easily connect the camera to the back of the telescope in place of an eyepiece for either astro photography or extreme telephoto photography of things like wildlife. For example, with my Celestron Nexstar 6 SE scope, this gives me 50 power at F6 with any camera using an APS-C sensor. On my AstroTech 66mm refractor it gives me 20x. This unit, which threads right onto the back of the scope, gives a much solider connection than the style which connects like an eyepiece.

Good adapter for my telescopes
Not too expensive but good adapter for Large Celestron and Small Meade Schmidt telescopes. Got used DSLR and always wanted to take pictures with the telescopes, this was an inexpensive chance to do it, also needed a Cannon adapter. First use was at night, could not get it to work and was disappointed. I realized a night there isn't much to focus on at night, so I set the focus at maybe a 1/4 mile object during the day which got me close. Then at night the moon was easy to find and needed minimal focusing, played with the manual camera settings and got good moon pictures with the small scope, will try the large scope later.

Exactly what I wanted!
I ordered this adapter for my NexStar Evolution and Sony Alpha SLT. On my old AstroMaster scope, I would attach the camera to a barlow lens & T-Ring. On the SCT scopes, it attaches directly to the rear of the optical tube. (And very solidly, I may add.) My existing aluminum T-Ring went on smoothly. I struggled a little in the dark while attaching the T-adapter to the rear threads on the scope, but it eventually grabbed hold. Due to the accuracy of the NexStar, it was no problem aiming at objects. I can't wait to try this out on other objects besides the moon, but so far, I am very pleased!

Yes, it works with DSLRs
I am absolutely writing this review so I can show off the picture I took of the moon using my vintage C8 and my Nikon D5100 using this adapter. I also needed the T-ring to make it all work, but work it did, and my adventures in astrophotography are underway!

Celestron Telescope SCT T-adapter
This standard Celestron SCT T-adapter was needed to attach my new CMOS astro camera for capturing photos of Mars at opposition and deep space objects. It was in-stock, available for a good price, and was delivered quickly!

This wasn't for me. I bought it as a xmas gift and she hasn't used it yet.
But I'm sure she will love it because it was on her wish list.

Question & Answer
Question :
I want to understand one thing, what is the magnification that I will get from this T adaptor with my Canon 650D?
Answer :
When talking about photography the proper term is not magnification, but scale factor. Scale factor is a linear function of focal length alone, which is a property of the optics you connect this to. Sometimes "magnification" is rated in terms of the ratio of the focal length of telescope to a 50 mm lens. If your telescope has a focal length of 900 mm and an f-ratio of 10, (90 mm, f/10) then your "magnification" is 900/50 = 18 times!
What you can see will depend on the pixel pitch of your camera, the "seeing" (atmospheric conditions) on the night you go out, and critically, on how well you can focus. Start out with the moon, and practice focusing!
Good luck, and clear skies!
Question :
Will This work on my Celestron C6? Will it allow me to move the camera to take vertical shots and lock it in?
Answer :
yes it should, its universal to celestron telescopes..Im looking at mine now, and it seems to be universal, did you get your t-ring...the t-ring will allow the camera to be attached. I know I forgot the t-ring when I got my adaptor..My telescope is the C8, so it should work.. let me know, but get the t-ring, it goes by camera model.. Like mine is a Cannon, so I had to get a Cannon t-ring that attaches to the adapter...it also only works if your able to remove your leses from your camera, there is another mount that you can use if your using a point and shoot camera.. most sincerely,Lizzy
Question :
Will this fit a legacy C-14?
Answer :
It should, It lists the SCT 14 as being compatible. Call Celestron if not sure.
Question :
which set i should buy for my nikon d3500?
Answer :
This part will work but you need the t adapter and the nikon mount as well.
Question :
Will this work on Nexstar 9.25 evolution?
Answer :
Yes, the Celestron T-Adapter for Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescopes #93633-A will work on the NexStar Evolution 9.25 optical tube.
Question :
Does this works with Edge HD 1100 Celestron ?
Answer :
No. You want Celestron #93646 or even better, go to Starizona and buy TA-HD11-F which can also accommodate 2" threaded filters; the Celestron one cannot.
Question :
dear custor is it fine for the c14? does it have the T2 of 2' large screw on the other side?
Answer :
It has standard 2in. thread for T-Ring and 2in. Swivel for optical back of 'scope.
Question :
Will this work on a StarMax Mak-Cass 90 ?
Answer :
My celestron mak 90 came with an included t adapter.
Question :
I want to attach a olympus omd em10 to a celestron 6se. what do i need?
Answer :
A T-mount has two pieces: the telescope adapter: for the 6se it's Celestron #: 93633-A; and a T-ring for your Olympus. You'll need both.
Question :
Hello folks, I got mine yesterday and accidentally got the attacher and the t adapter separated, and I cannot get them to fit together again.
Answer :
My adapter is 7 years old. The "attacher" freely slides over the adapter.
