Sturdy and Simple to Use
It take only four screws to assemble the copy stand, and it works smoothly and easily. I needed this for a somewhat unusual reason: I need to digitize a large group of fifty year old black and white negatives and edit them for publication.. They have been stored in file pages, so I am putting the pages on a lightbox to photograph the negatives; then the images are inverted on on my laptop.
The copy stand speeds up the process by being easy to adjust with one hand while looking through the mounted camera's viewfinder.

DESIGN + BUILD QUALITY BOTH EXCELLENT
This is a very well-designed and equally well-built copy stand. I am using it with a Fuji X100F camera to photograph hundreds of rolls of color negative film to make printed contact sheets using VueScan software. This copy stand is key to the project. Looked at other models that cost less, but opted for this one because of apparent build quality and am well pleased with my choice.

Very solid construction
This stand is heavy duty! Very impressed with how solid the mechanism is. The part that attaches the camera to the stand is plastic and really should be metal but overall it’s a good set up

Question & Answer
Question :
Can the post be rotated 180 degrees to shoot using the floor as a base if counter-weight is placed on the baseboard?
Answer :
I haven’t tried that but yes physically you can connect you camera facing down, up, or to the side.
Question :
How is this adjusted? By pressing the plate and lifting/lowering manually? I want to make sure I'll be able to easily do extremely small adjustments.
Answer :
Yes, you press the plate and lift/lower manually. If you need extremely small adjustments, it sounds like you plan to photograph a very small object and want to stack the photos. You will not have the control with this device to make those precise incremental steps. However, you can set the copy stand and camera in one position, then place your object on an X-Y-Z stage and move it in extremely small adjustments.
Question :
Does this stand allow you to take photos in perfect nadir position?
Answer :
Yes, and only in that position. Works great!
Question :
Can you adjust the tilt of the camera for leveling?
Answer :
No you can’t it a bracket but on the other hand it is very sturdy set up. I’ve been using mine regularly for Digitizing my negatives.
Question :
How close can you get to the base?
Answer :
With a standard lens, approximately 7”-8”.
I placed a 4” box on the base to get closer
