Must have for getting 400w of power
I recently bought a second Godox AD200 and decided to try out the AD-B2. It ended up being a great decision. The combined power to two bulbs really opened up my outdoor photography lighting. This combined with a decent softbox really produces great light.
Solid build quality and great recycle time.
To keep the weight down, I actually connect two of the extension cords to it instead of connected the bodies of the AD200s. I then just place the AD200 bodies in two pouches that hang off the stand. It's be a great setup and I don't have to worry about catastrophic damage if the light happens to fall.
Definitely get a C-Stand to hold it as it will have some weight to it if you don't use my method. For those who don't know, C-Stands are heavy. They easily weigh 20Lbs which is great for resisting tipping and will help keep your lighting investments from meeting their fate on the ground.

Works great, better and faster than S-type mount
It is very easy to pop off the fresnel head and attach the AD200 to this bracket, attach lightbulb and start shooting. Works great with just one AD200 which is how I use it most of the time, but when you need the power it's nice to be able to add a second.

Excellent mount for the AD200.
This is an excellent mount for the Godox AD200 if you use the barebulb a lot. Obviously it will only work with the bare bulb. But it also allows you to double up the AD200 on a single lightstand and light modifier. It is awesome that it uses the Bowens mount for light modifiers. That is as close to a universal light modifier mount as there is. So there are so many modifiers available to use with this. It is nice that the adapter works for either a single AD200 or two AD200s. So it gives a lot of flexibility.

Love this for my AD200s I have 2.
I like this for a few reasons. 1 being the double power if I want it. And it does that well. 2nd the model light. I use this even if I am shooting one bulb just for that light. And last. Center bulb for single use. I would not use my AD200 on the bulb without it period. And the mount is nice and tight too. Attached some examples of it in use with two bulbs. I did use this modifier in all shots too. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CY6CMGQ/ref=twister_B07S8QPD3Z?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Essential Kit if you have AD200s
This thing is great, you get a functional 400w light by combining 2 AD200s (I have pros) with a bowens mount for ~60 bucks. I have two, and find that carrying 4 AD200s gives me a lot of flexibilty in my travel setup (and all use the same batteries) so its more convenient to use this when I need the extra power than to carry around a single 400w light which uses a different battery/charger and can't be broken down into two lights. The light stand mount could be better, its the only thing I don't care for but for the price and the options this opens up I really can't complain.

Very functional and solid build. Needs storage pouch
I love that this product solves a couple of problems: The fit is perfect compared to using a standard S mount; I can now use the modeling light with the bare bulb. In addition I can purchase another AD200 and get up to 400 ws off the same mount !!!
One thing that this could use is a storage pouch. I am storing it in the original styrofoam packaging for now.

LOCK IT! Then shoot!
It works great! However, terrified me when one of my Godox lights didn’t lock into place and hit the ground! 😩😬 Thankfully it was just scratched, but make sure you LOCK IT INTO PLACE then you can let go, shoot & be happy!

So nice to have a modeling light!
I use this either with one AD200 or two. Either way, I get to use the LED fantastic modeling light. And it's one thing I don't have to charge!

Worth every penny
I have a small studio that I use for portrait photography I hooked up one of the ad200 strobes and turned on the modeling light and boy was I amazed at the light output the light has. This was with only one ad200 hooked up too. You will be getting your money worth with this bracket and unlike the S mount bracket that you have to modify to make your strobe fit in, this is a perfect solution. It's a great investment.

Question & Answer
Question :
Does this unit work with the AD200 Pro as well?
Answer :
Yes the AD200 Pro will work with the AD-B2 as well.
Question :
What’s the difference between using the twin head adapter vs just mounting two AD200’s to a light stand?
Answer :
I think it depends on how you design your light setups for different kinds of lighting effects. Two lights mounted into the same adapter creates more powerful light over one spot, while two separate lights on on an individual light stand can either separate lights into two directions or into the same direction by using one as main light and another as fill light.
Question :
does it work with only one ad200?
Answer :
Yes, but you will also only have one led modeling light work as well.
Question :
How does flash power work with two ad200s attached? does it do ttl? does the xpro controller talk to the combined head or to each ad200 separately?
Answer :
the commander speaks to both flashes separately the commander can control it however you want to configure it. It can work simultaneously or independent of each other such as group a in ttl and group b in manual or all groups in ttl you set it however you like and yes TTL is supported
Question :
Can you use one ad200 and one ad200 pro?
Answer :
Yes you can
Question :
Whats the best light stand to use with this?
Answer :
I use just a basic light stand i had purchased a long time ago from best buy it was a generic one. The most important thing is to make sure you have some sort of a bag or weight to secure it to make sure it doesn't tip over. If you extend it above 5 feet also make sure you have a wide base so its less prone to fall over as well. Hope this helps
Question :
Can you use it mixing one ad200 with one ad200pro? (I have one of each, so can I combine?, or it only works with 2 ad200 or 2 ad200pro? Thanks
Answer :
Of course you can mix both
Question :
Can you combine an ad200 with the pro model ?
Answer :
I have not tried yet but I am sure you can. Same connections and each power pack goes to separate tubes.
Question :
Doesn’t align with umbrella holes with the godox ad-b2
Answer :
No it doesn’t. Poor design from that standpoint. Disappointing but the reflector was cheap. You’d think that with all the complaints-they would fix the problem.
Question :
Is there a recommended flash bulb? Is the bulb for the ad200 best or perhaps the AD360 or another bulb with frosted enclosure?
Answer :
Ad200 bulbs only. It is made specifically to use the AD200 and its bulbs. No other will work.
