Great filter. Very sharp.

Use with a GoPro 7 and the resolution and clarity is very sharp. The polarizer really makes the clouds stand out on a sunny day and can be used to manage reflections in glass and water.

So far so good with this polarizer

So far so good with this polarizer. I have owned many Hoya filters over the years and always loved them. Since I'm not shooting for publication or fussy editors, I think this quality filter will satisfy my landscapes & general photo shoots just fine for this price.

Well built and with really fine crystal this filter does what it is supposed to ...

Filters DO matter and especially the ones that broaden our reach, perspective and opportunities in photography. Well built and with really fine crystal this filter does what it is supposed to like no other and at the same time it protects precious expensive front elements

Polarizer Works Great

I purchased this polarizer filter for a new Nikon P-600 camera. It fits just fine and does the job you'd expect from a polarizer filter. No problems.

Question & Answer

Question :

Does this filter improve photos taken when snow is on the ground (white snow vs blue sky)\?

Answer :

I have not used this filter with snow/blue sky. Good question! I will have to try it.

Question :

Can you use this with autofocus on DSLRs? I'm brand new to the wide world of filters.

Answer :

Yes.......if you're using auto mode, camera will adjust proper settings for exposure. If you are setting your own, this filter reduces light, make sure your exposure compensation is properly set for scene then focus & shoot!

Question :

Will this work with Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ70? I've read I may need an adaptor also.

Answer :

Yes, and I have one on my DMC-FZ70 (this model Panasonic has filter thread rings and was one the reasons I bought this camera). Takes 55 mm size.

Question :

Does this filter come with a carrying pouch/case?

Answer :

Hello! Yes, the filter comes with the plastic storage case which you can see in the 2nd image that Amazon is using for the product, or directly here:

Question :

Have a GoPro Hero3 adapter for 52mm filters (for ND so far). Will this reduce cockpit glass reflection etc, for video? Sun won't be at constant angle.

Answer :

Yes

Question :

Can they fit on Nikon d3200 with 35mm prime lens?

Answer :

Yes, I have a 1.8 35mm Nikor lens and this Hoya filter fits perfectly. I used it all over Europe. Don't forget to twist the filter when taking photos to find the best orientation. Keep the lens pointed perpendicular to the sun as well; The effects of the polarizing filter are less effective when the sun's light shines directly into the lens.
Let me know if you want to see some comparison photos with and without the Hoya filter!
Best,
Justin

Question :

Can someone please tell me what size to get for the Nikon 60mm macro nikkor lens? Second time now getting the wrong size 🤦🏻‍♀️

Answer :

62mm filter would be the correct size If you have the AF-S Micro NIKKOR 60mm F2.8G ED or AF Micro-NIKKOR 60mm f/2.8D Lens

Question :

Anybody see the markings on the lens as manufactured in the Phillipines as well? I thought it was Japan.

Answer :

Hello. All of the Hoya Alpha filters are made in the Philippines.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Have a great day!

Question :

Is this filter multi coated?

Answer :

No, Alpha Series Circular Polarizer filters are not multi-coated. If you are looking for a Multi-Coated Circular Polarizer would recommend looking at the Hoya 52mm Fusion Circular Polarizer. (ASIN: B07NX85HFX)
