Adds necessary contrast to B&W film
I purchased this filter to use with my Leica equipment (a Summicron R 50mm and a Summicron M 90mm). In both cases, combined with B&W film (not chromogenic!), you get a nice, moderate contrast in outdoors, sunny situations. I've been using Tiffen filters for some time because they're well made and, while inexpensive, their quality matches that of others more costly, without sacrificing anything. In short, I'm happy with my copy. One thing I should add: the screw pitch works perfectly; I never have problems putting on or removing this filter from the lens.
