Promising tubes for the a6000
The build quality of these tubes is pretty nice for the money. There is just a tiny bit of play when the tubes are connected to the body of the camera, but it's not very noticeable and the connection feels solid. The product title is somewhat misleading; the mounts and contacts are all metal, but the barrels are made of a plastic with a matte finish. My previous set from another manufacturer didn't
include end caps, but Meike does - a nice touch. Autofocus works well with the a6000, though I use manual most of the time for this kind of work.
The photos I've uploaded were shot on a tripod using manual focus with the a6000. Some light post processing in Lightroom afterward. The images of the quarter and the seven pencils were shot with the 10 and 16mm tubes used together. The wider image of pencils was done with only the 10mm tube.
So far, I'm very happy. But this is a recent purchase, so I'll try to update my review as I go along.

Cheap macro lens alternative
I saw some YouTube reviews of this recently and they seemed to love this. Asked a co-worker he said these are normally junk, but I figured hey at this price it's worth a shot. So like an idiot I am the first lens I try these on is my Sigma 16mm f1.4... I couldn't focus on anything no matter what I did until I moved the lens on top of the item. It all clicked in my head that I needed to use higher focal length. Busted out my 18-105 and zoomed it all the way to 105 and there was the pretty macro shot I saw from YouTube!

Works Great
Great automatic extension tubes. I use them on various lens to get closer to the subject. This pic is with my 16-50mm kit lens zoomed in at 50mm to give me the most working distance. Shot of a 1” shrimp in my aquarium with the camera’s pop up flash. Autofocus also still works well. And a water droplet taken with both tubes mounted on a adapted Pentax 100mm macro lens.

Awesome for the price.
These little guys saved me from spending almost $200 on a macro lens. I've been using my 16-50mm kit lens and have been getting some amazing close-ups. The autofocus is on the slower side but I usually keep it on manual for macro. Their build is decent, Plastic body with metal bayonets. I haven't noticed any extra wear on the contact pins other than what's already there on my lens. I have also used it on the 35mm and 50mm meike primes. With the 35 you get really sharp images and is great if you have plenty of light. The 50mm on the other hand, being a naturally soft lens is really difficult to get good macro out of. That being said, neither have any kind of stabilization so the Sony kit lens wins in overall versatility with macro.

Great alternative to macro lens but needs practice!
I recently bought these and I am very happy with them so far, but I still need a lot of practice. I am AF3A meike rings for my Sony a6300 along with the 16-50mm kit lens. When I first put on the 16 and 10 tube extensions on, the screen was dark and I thought it was defective, but turned out I had to zoom out to 50mm, change the aperture, and shutter ex and then it worked just fine! I will try the tubes with the other kit lens later too. I zoomed out too 50mm for the picture of the pendant and flowers. It seems that Autofocus isn’t as good as manual focus with these rings but I am not complaining because they are cheaper than a macro lens. With manual focus I use focus peaking and move my body/hands back and forth for the right focal length. I am also learning how to use the a6300 so I know the pictures will get better as I also get better at handling everything. It seems like I will need to invest in a tripod because if you hands shake It will ruin the shot even after finally getting good focus and the right length. I have shaky hands so might as well try a tripod and see how much it helps.

Great, solved my close up issue for ebay photos
really did the trick. Nice construction and simple to use.
I don't know a lot about photography, but this was recommended by a photographer friend. I sell online a lot and never could get good close ups for details or small items. I have a new camera and the macro lens costs a ton.
For less than $30 you can get a nice set of these and since they attach between your lens and camera body, you can still have a filter on the lens to protect it.
I only stick one of these on when I need it, otherwise can live in my camera bag on standby. An affordable and easy tool to get those closeups that you need once in a while. Only get a macro lens if you need it a lot. otherwise get a set like this.

A must have for every filmmaker/photographer
These are not meant to be used very often, but if used creatively, it can add to the value of the project. I’m a filmmaker and I needed these macro adapters to use for a project that will be heavy focused on texting, so I gave it a try. I’m amazed. I’m using the a7iii with 50mm f1.8. I suggest that you use higher f stop to get wider area of focus and also, once you lock focus, I suggest switching off the AF while maintaing the peaking. These adapters are meant to be used for this kind of shooting. Also, they didn’t scratch my lens at all, and as I said, these will be used creatively and not daily. Hence, for the price, I’d not think twice about it. They’re truly must to have. Last note, I suggest using the 10mm or 16mm independently, becausing pairing them will make it super super macro (unless you need that of course). Otherwise, either one works well with AF astonishly for its price. I really didn’t expect this much value from it, but I was wrong.

such a neat little addition to the gear list
Lets just get past, the plastic, cheap feeling - because for the money its pretty freaking awesome! Its so easy to set up - i usually put both adapters on and then the lens. Its hard for autofocus I used my 24-70mm lens (sony a7iii) and I have to touch whatever it is that I am trying to record to get in focus. Its both a good and bad thing. I am terrible at manual focus but its something that I think I would use a bit more with this thing. Be sure to be very still and go slowly for best footage outcome. I would say for the money - its worth it! You can different shots

Amazing Value
Inexpensive and will turn any lens above 30mm into a comfortable macro lens. The bigger the focal range the more breathing room you'll have to focus. You need to get VERY close yourself for it to focus with a low focal length. I shot these photos with a 135mm which gave me a ton of space to get the shot without getting into an awkward position.
For people who may not have done their homework, this will not allow you to focus from afar or short range. You have to be VERY close unless you're using a big focal length.

Great little extension tubes
Used on my sony a6000 and it works great with any lenses I used it on. Just make sure your focal length is at least equal or greater than the extension tube (ie: if using the 16mm extension tube, make sure you are using a 16mm+ focal length lens or you will never be able to focus).

Question & Answer
Question :
Does the extension tube support image stabilization (SteadyShot)?
Answer :
Steady Shot is a lens function. If your lens has the Steady Shot it will work with the MEIKE Extension Adapter as all electrical contacts are passed through.
Question :
Will these work with the new sony a7iii?
Answer :
As long as the a7iii works with the same lenses as the a6000 and a6300, then it should work with these extension tubes.
Question :
does it fit to Sony Alpha 5100? Please advice!
Answer :
The 5100 has an e mount, so this will fit.
Question :
Will this make my manual focus lenses focus on its own? New to this So pardon my ignorance
Answer :
No. If your lens is manual focus only before adding the ring(s), it will still be manual after.
Question :
if I were to buy four and stack all four of them would it make my magnification 52 mm?
Answer :
probably not. the distortion increases and the lens gets closer and closer, blocking light. a macro 1:1 image is ideal, further I'd recommend special lenses
Question :
is it going to work good on sigma 16mm with sony a6600?
Answer :
I have it work perfectly for both kit and 55-210 Sony lenses
My guess it will work with your sigma
Question :
I have the sony a7iii so i see it will work with that but i don’t see which of my lenses it would be comparable with. does anyone know? thank you!
Answer :
It will work with any sony lenses
Question :
Will these work on the a7riv?
Answer :
Yes ... they work on any camera with the e-mount.
Question :
does it work on sony a7riii?
Answer :
Yes. It’s for Sony FE mount. I have used it on my a7iii as well as my a7rii
