Works great, but.....
This works great, but something you have to understand is this changes the focal point. For one example I used these on my Sony AIII and a Sony 24mm 1.4GM. To focus on an item you need the front of the lens about 1 inch away from the subject. This is too close if you want to take a picture of a bee or something that is alive. On my Sony 24-70mm 2.8 GM I need to be about 2 inches away to focus on something. The range of 24-70 didn't make much difference. For my last example I used my Sony 85mm 1.8 lens. The minimum focus distance on this lens is pretty far at 2.62 feet (80cm). With this lens I can be about 1 foot away to focus on my subject. Here are some tips; If you use manual focus and focus as close as possible you can get more magnification, and if you focus to infinity you can get less. Also, use the 16mm extension tube on the camera body first if you are stacking these. If I put the 10m extension tube on the camera, and attach the 16mm on the lens, I get a funny yellow color. If I attach the 16mm tube on the camera body, and then stack the 10mm, the color is fine. For best results I'd use a lens that has a longer minimum focusing distance. I think any of the Sony 70-200mm lenses would work excellent with this kit. I don't have such a lens yet though. Autofocus is pretty good. I took some of my practice shots on a $1 dollar bill and my camera was actually using eye autofocus on George Washington's eyes.

Neewer Metal AF Auto-focus Macro Extension
Very happy with this item. It was the only one that had metal for the mating surfaces and has worked just fine. Using it with the 16-50 kit lens on my A6000 works well.
I added a close up of a zinnia flower that I snapped with this setup.

Well made Extension Tubes (using on Sony a6000)
Camera is Sony A6000. The extension tubes are well made and provide a secure hold. I used with standard 16-50 zoom lens and even an old Nikon 50mm F1.2 lens with Sony-Nikon adapter. The auto focus worked fine as did the zoom function on the Sony lens. There was no noticeable vignetting with either lens.

Works better than expected
I bought this for cheap introduction to macro on my Sony a7r iii and it works great. Autofocus works fine. Proper do complain about it but with macro you don't have too much focus range anyways due to the extreme shallow depth of field. Good quality material. Metal, think plastic, almost like lens quality. I bought these over the meike mainly because I've bought other neewer products and they seem like good quality for the price. One thing I do wish they came with some kind of cover to keep as much dust or of them and away from my sensor as possible.

Incredible attachment to get crystal-clear macro shots with any kit lens
These things are amazing. Attaching both to the kit lens (16-50) on my Sony a6300, I'm getting crystal clear shots at 1-10 cm away (based on the zoom level). You have a very short depth of field, as should be expected with any macro lens, and the edges of pictures start to get a tad out of focus (because of the depth of field) - but the shots are spectacular, and I've had zero problem with focusing (including auto-focus) even with both extenders attached at the same time in series. The attached picture is of the microprinting on a $100 bill, which is barely visible to the naked eye.

Solid, highly functional, and very economical
These are a fantastic value for the versatility they add to your existing kit. They bring the plane of focus much closer to the lens enabling macro photography with the uncompromised precision of whatever lens you pair them with. If you already have a quality lenses putting these between the camera and lens will produce equally high quality images (unlike cheap macro filters which severely degrade IQ but cost about the same). You lose a bit of light but unless you're shooting in dim conditions that's not much of a concern. Compared to dedicated macro lenses which cost hundreds or even more than a thousand dollars I can't imagine why anybody would not just buy these unless they were habitually working in a professional capacity, handheld, in dim lighting conditions. Autofocus and other functions work without issue. Highly recommended for anybody wanting to augment their existing e-mount mirrorless kit with macro capability.

Works great, but it isn't all metal
I decided to buy this extension tube set from Neewer because it advertises that it's metal. The core is made of some kind of light alloy, but the outer casing isn't actually metal. I usually use both tubes together, and they don't fit 100% snug. But they work great, and I haven't noticed the slight give has affected picture quality. As expected, I lose auto-focus with the tubes, but all other functions, like aperture adjustment, work great.

You can’t beat the price.
I wanted a macro lens. I don’t want to spend money on a macro lens. This is a great alternative. If I’m honest with myself I’m not a serious enough photographer to justify a lens to take pictures of bugs or jewelry. All of the camera features seem to work just fine. The pictures I attached are with the 16mm adapter and the kit lens.

An effective and inexpensive route to macro photography
Extension tubes like this allow your lenses to focus close. I use it to photograph insects from afar with a telephoto lens. I've also used screw-on one-diopter lenses which attach to the front of a lens like a filter. But I get slightly better result with these extension tubes. And they work for every lens you own. While the diopter lenses must be the right diameter, which can vary with the lens.

Excellent closeups right out of the box
Now I have used extension tubes before with film SLRs - so I knew how to use them. Difference in those days you needed to use flash guns either side of the lens and wind the aperture full open - so set up was very elaborate. Now with modern mirrorless digital cameras (Sony Alpha-6300) where you can wind the ISO up to 5,000 you can get shutter speeds of 1/200 and f22 and handhold the camera in natural light. Probably should use a monopod but as you can see for a quick play around in the back garden I got very good images. These were sampled at 50% in Corel Photopaint and compressed somewhat from 6Mb to about 350 Kb. Build of the extension tubes appear to be good with metal bayonet mounts and they fit my camera and lens snugly without giving the impression they are too tight. I would recommend storing them with a body cap and rear lens cap, which you can buy for buttons on amazon, to keep dirt out of the tubes and hence your camera.

Question & Answer
Question :
Has anyone compared this one to the meike version? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/b00bxz9alq/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=utf8&psc=1
Answer :
I have the Meike tubes in µ4/3 mount and the Neewers in Sony E mount. The Meikes work fine in the limited use I've given them. Their mounts are black plastic, with a relatively soft surface, so I would expect the mounts to wear fairly easily and wouldn't use them for big, heavy lenses.
The Neewers have shiny plated metal mounts that have a much harder surface. Only the mounts are metal, the body is plastic. I thought at first they are so light that it must be chrome plated plastic, but I took one mount off and scraped the underside. It's definitely metal, although certainly not steel or brass. Anyway, with the hard plated surface, they should wear better.
I would buy the Neewers again.
Be aware that all of these tubes have many contacts. With Sony, the 10 electrical contacts of lens to body becomes 20 with a tube and thirty with two tubes stacked. And the contacts in these inexpensive tubes are plain brass, not as good quality as the bodies and name brand lenses. So don't be surprised if you find AF or other malfunctions, esp. when it is humid. Take 'em apart and wipe all the contacts.
Question :
All the reviews are talking about flash. Are you sure this is the Macro Extension product?
Answer :
Something is definitely wrong in the listing. I was emailed your question but I've never bought this product. I have bought Neewer flash adapters, which would match the reviews. Good luck, sorry I could be of more help, but you are right, listing is mixed up somehow.
Question :
Hi, will this work on the Sony A5100?
Answer :
No. I just picked this up for my a5100 and could not get any of my 3 lenses to work with the adapter. None of my lenses would focus (2x Sony and 1x Sigma)
Question :
When it says metal, is that just the mount or the entire body?
Answer :
Mount and body. Inside will be plastic.
Question :
Does anyone have experience using this on an a6300? How is it?
Answer :
No specific experience but there’s no reason it should not work as well as on a full frame camera, the mount is the same.
Question :
I have recently purchased a neewer 35mm f.17 fixed prime manual lens for my a5100. can i use the lens with this adapter for landscape photography?
Answer :
These are made for macro not landscape. They will work with tour lens but aren’t designed for landscape. They are extension tubes that change your minimum focusing distance to a shorter distance. So landscape photography doesn’t make sense with these
Question :
Does this set include a protective pouch or case for the tubes?
Answer :
No. mine just came with the rings.
Question :
Does it work for sony a6500 ?
Answer :
They work with my A6300. Since the A6500 uses the same lenses as the A6300 and other e-mount camera with the same electrical contacts, I think these would work with the A6500. These tubes have no electronics. They just pass signals between the camera and lens.
Question :
Will this work with an alpha 6000 Sony 50 mm Fr 1.8 lense?
Answer :
It fits on all my Sony lenses.
Question :
Can it receive aperture/is info from a canon lens via canon ef to sony adapter?
Answer :
If your cannon adapter can send aperture info then yes it should work with these tubes.
