Space saver!!!
Perfect! Just what I needed to get the tripod off the floor. My suite is not very big so needed to mount my Neewer Ring light to save space! So glad I purchased this wall mount. *only thing is if you are mounting on drywall you will need to head to hardware store for high load bearing anchors and screws*.

These wall mount arms are amazing they’re very durable sturdy and well built!!! Anyone who is planning on building a small studio would definitely need something like this it really helps me clear up some space from having to move around my lighting all the time and instead mounted onto the wall you can also use this to mount a microphone as well or even mount your camera from the ceiling or the wall the possibilities are endless I’ve tried all different types of variations and I love this product. I bought a second one shortly after the first one and the second one I actually bought use to save a few dollars which is still looked amazing Anyone who is planning on building a small studio would definitely need something like this it really helps me clear up some space from having to move around my lighting all the time and instead mounted onto the wall you can also use this to mount a microphone as well or even mount your camera from the ceiling or the wall the possibilities are endless I’ve tried all different types of variations and I love this product. Heavy duty, flexible and easy to use
I used this to attach studio LED lights in my small office/studio. I mounted them high and like that the diagonal release is only like a 1/4 turn to loosen it enough to pivot down, and still stay in place. The mounts on the ends are very flexible as well. Then can be placed sticking out of the end of the pole, or perpendicular to it either horizontally or vertically.
They even came with some very heavy duty mounting hardware, but I put them on hollow drywall and had to modify it a bit. If you are mounting them to a hollow wall with wooden studs, I suggest lining up one set of holes with the studs and using your own lag screws. If you are mounting to a wall with metal studs, it is a little trickier.
My only complaint is I also bought some safety cables and there wasn't a good place to clip them to, so I wrapped them around the pipe past the first knob.

It worked out well
I like...
- has a nice flat plate to mount it to the wall (I drilled some more holes in it)
- lighter weight aluminum
- has a good quality look/feel
- easy to adjust
I dislike...
- maybe something for cable management
I wish..
-There was some way to run the cord down the tube. (from looking at the light mount side it does not look like it would be that easy)
Notes
- note: The mounted light will have to be a few feet out from the pivot point. Somehow i did not think of this when I ordered it. =)
Overall 5 stars.

A sturdy produce and a great value
I have no qualms hanging an expensive strobe/softbox off this boom. It's very well made, especially at this price point. My only qualm is that I think with just a bit of thought they could have designed it so that if folds flat agaist the wall horizontally. It does fold flat vertically, which is great. All around I am very happy with this.

My light is secure
Value is definitely there. The knobs themselves are plastic and probably would be more sturdy if they were metal like the rest of the mount, but they feel sturdy. I have a relatively heavy spotlight mounted on it and it isn’t going anywhere!

It is worth the money at under fifty bucks
I am photographer and I purchases two of these for my newly designed studio. On one I have the godox sk400ii mounted with a thirty seven invc bowen mount softbox. I love the way I am able to adjust the light. I have to say that when adjusting the boom arm you may want to remove light of too heavy and remount the light once adjusted. I give this product a 100% so far... Its durable and easy to use... That's what I want from my photography equipment. Go buy yours now!!!

These are better than your expecting. But the wall mounting plate is larger than you think
These are a great way to eliminate trip liability in the studio. Very happy with them. I only wish the post where you mount the light could be extruded from the main support bar about 1”. This would allow you more flexibility in the set angle, and allow your fingers to get a good grip on the lamp mounting knob.

Sturdy!
I love that it’s super sturdy. It came with these weird looking bolts/nails. I didn’t know what to do with them so I used a screw and washer instead and mount it into the stud. I like the full range of directions, I just wish it can go shorter!

Good Product!
It works as advertised and seems well made. I made sure that it was mounted to a stud rather than in the drywall. That arm creates a lot of leverage, so treat it carefully no matter how you have mounted it. I might order another one.

Question & Answer
Question :
What is the pole diameter?
Answer :
It's pretty "girthy", nothing to write home about though. Won't get you married, but won't cost you a second date if you know what I mean. Middle finger touches the thumb when grasped.
Question :
What are the dimensions of the base?
Answer :
The wall plate that mounts the boom to the wall is 5.5" wide x 12" tall
Question :
Can the 18” neewer ring light be mounted to this?
Answer :
Absolutely! I use my ring light with this. It helps to get rid of the tripod which can get in the way. 😊
Question :
Does this swivel left and right as well?
Answer :
Yes it pivots left an right along the axis of the mount but it does not rotate
Question :
What is the max weight this can hold fully extended?
Answer :
That depends a lot on how you mount the base plate. If mounted into concrete and supporting a static load (non-swinging) - you should be able to safely support 25 pounds at the tip of full extension.
Question :
Will it work with Mountdog 18' ring light
Answer :
Yes, this will work with ring lights that can be mounted to a standard light stand spigot. Be careful when mounting though - since Ring Lights have greater constraints on movements than normal studio flash units.
Question :
What is the cheapest way to adapt this to mount a 5/8"-27 microphone clip?
Answer :
You can get a buy microphone clips that mount to a 3/8"x16 thread spigot, or you can get an adapter that converts the 3/8"x16 thread to the 5/8-27 microphone thread. The spigot on the boom is both removable and reversible (3/8" x 16 thread and 1/4"x20 thread sides).
Question :
Did anyone get an instruction manual?
Answer :
My unit did not come with an instruction manual, but the arm is not that difficult to mount or use. If you are mounting in a wooden stud you'll want to put 2-1/2" or longer screws into the 4 top and 4 bottom holes that are on the same alignment as the boom arm. If you are mounting into concrete or sheetrock you'll want to use the holes that are on the edges of the mounting plate.
Question :
How thick are the tubes? can i mount dmx stage lights to them?
Answer :
yes
Question :
Can this be mounted on the ceiling?
Answer :
Yes. I purchased two: one is mounted on the wall and the other is mounted on the ceiling.
