Works as well as or better than others

I've used the Giotto Rocket blower for years for camera lenses. The Amazon description, "Strong Cleaning Air Blower" is accurate, as this one is more forceful and therefore, I think more effective than the Giottos. However, I bought it to blow out an electric shaver--and it works perfectly for that. I'm thinking of ordering another, as it's more compact than the Rocket blower, so it will pack in a small camera bag more easily.

Great for dusting off anime figurines and statues made of plaster, plastic or metal.

i use this to dust off figurines. it was the one with the biggest bulb I could find to deliver the most powerful air blast. The tip is soft which is nice in case i bump a figure it won't scratch it. For cleaning my figures i use this in conjunction with some soft natural hair paint brushes and canned air. Using a blower like this is good for the first passes of cleaning since canned air can often be more damaging than useful. This gets a four star primary since I wish it delivered a larger more powerful blast of air.
UPDATE: I later found out it has a 90 cc capacity. I've since found larger volume blowers such as the Hakuba high power blower professional L Black KMC-61LBK which I'd like to try. For figurines, you want a soft tip or you could risk scratching or chipping. However tempting do NOT blow with your own breath as you will create moisture rich with organics that can cause problems later down the road. Canned air is not always the best either and should not be used by default. Do you research and see if canned air is okay in your situation. This is another reason why a good air blower is really essential to high quality figure cleaning.

Good alternative to a Gittos

Well constructed, nice size, moves enough air to blow dust off my camera lens. Have had a Gittos in the past, but I like the shape of this blower better. Packs easier.

Quality Built

I look for things that are going to work as intended, and also last a while. This blower fits that bill well, from the build of just the box itself (very sturdy) to the actual tool it's worth the extra few bucks over one of the cheapies. This was built with the photographer in mind, powerful, with features to ensure you don't damage your own equipment while cleaning (silicone tip).

Does the job for my Mavic Pro

Bought this to clean my DJI mavic Pro. I use it to for preventative maintenance on th gimbal and motors. I also use it to help clean the camera lens and filters. its a great tool to have after flying my drone at the beach or an area that I am landing in or around dirt and other debris (although I do use a landing pad). Would recommend to all drone owners or anyone looking to clean hard to reach/ delicate spaces.

Blow me down Mateys

this is by far the best blower I've had in years and im going to get a couple more of them because this one keeps migrating from my camera stuff to my computer to my truck and so on. it fills quick and blows hard in the proper direction with a good diameter stream. I know there might be a better portable someplace but I must have 25 or better of these things around here and by way far, this is the best yet. my cat loves it and I have to keep it hidden and get him and the rest of the gang looking for the black ones. definatly push the button on that one but buy several.

Basic blower I purchased for camera bag/travel.

I have a better blower with a filter on the end that keeps the blower from blowing particles back onto the sensor but it's rather big for my camera bag/travel so I purchased this little blower to help in particular with dust that seems to get on my lens every time I shoot. Price was good, blower does what it's supposed to. I wouldn't use it on my sensor as I would prefer to use my one with the filter on the end but for the basic use of blowing dust of my lens and camera when I'm out and about it does the job just fine.

Great blast of air !

The quality and size of this is perfect ...carry this in my camera bag always .
Powerful enough to dislodge everything that has so far landed on camera , also useful to remove light snow off some small ice formations next to a stream .

Question & Answer

Question :

Is this a manual hand pump?

Answer :

Yes, ilia a manual hand pump. Honestly, you don't want anything with high pressure if you are going to use it to blow dust off the image sensor of your camera. I held the camera with the image sensor facing down and the pump below to dislodge any dust. That said, I also bought those wipes to gently swab the surface and remove anything not dislodged. I completely removed any lint from the cover plate (and my photos).

Question :

Does this contain a filter on the intake air like the Giotto's?

Answer :

I have not seen the Giotto air blower, but this blower appears NOT to have a filter on the intake hole. It does produce a good quantity of air, and I understand your concern.

Question :

What is the diameter of the nozzle tip?

Answer :

It's slightly slanted. In my unit, the hole's diameter is 1/8th of an inch (3mm). This is the absolute, forward-facing tip. From there, it has a rounded edge 1/16in (1.5mm) deep, where the diameter increases to 1/4in (6mm). From there, the diameter tapers out to 7/16th in (11mm) for the rest of the nozzle.

Question :

How long is this? Not sure if 5.7" is the package dimensions or the length of this blower.

Answer :

Package Size: 15cm x 15cm x 10cm (5.91in x 5.91in x 3.94in)
The length of this blower is about 13.8cm

Question :

Can you use this to clean the dust inside a desktop?

Answer :

Yes, you can but not as good as a Canned Air. Better if you just buy a portable/small vacuum cleaner that way you don't blow the dirt instead the vacuum cleaner collects dirt then thrash it.

Question :

Is this made in China?

Answer :

Yes. It says on the box Made In China

Question :

Is the tip made from soft rubber?

Answer :

The tip looks and feels like rubber to me.

Question :

how secure is the plactic tip piece? Ive bought this style before and the top piece kept popping off

Answer :

Mine seemes to have been of very good quality. The rubber valve is soft yet sturdy and the tip has held very well over the past few years. If they continued the quality, I'd say you can buy it!

Question :

Does this have a one-way valve or does the air suck in the same hole it blows out?

Answer :

There is a hole on the other end, so it looks like it's a one-way valve. I've had great luck with mine. It dislodged a fine hair on my sensor, which saved me from having to get it cleaned.

Question :

Does it put out enough air to blow lint out of sewing machine and/or long arm quilting machine?

Answer :

I have this and the rocket. This one is smaller (which is good for carrying with me). But, the rocket is a little bigger and a little more powerful. I don’t know how they would do on those machines. For power, I would suggest canned air. A can lasts a while and cleans computer dust good.
