good for stacking more then one raynox
i like to shoot small/medium/larger from a small ant to a medium spider to a large butterfly so i bought 3 Raynox DCR that can be stacked.
i bought one Raynox DCR-150 and two Raynox DCR-250
1 Raynox DCR-150 (small Magnification)
2 Raynox DCR-150 with Raynox DCR-250 (medium Magnification)
3 Raynox DCR-250 with another Raynox DCR-250 (larger Magnification)
4 Raynox DCR-250 with another Raynox DCR-250 with a Raynox DCR-150 (huge Magnification) have not tested yet.
to add more adjustment these lens can be used forward or reversed for Magnification adjustment
and to add more adjustment im now using a fuji zoom lens to adjust Magnification by zooming.
i think Raynox sells a 3 x Magnification lens but then again your stuck with 3 Magnification.
when i take macro shots i find it much better to have 3 separate lens that can be stacked for more adjustment rather then be stuck with 1 lens
ever get stuck using a lens then for the shot the lens is not enough Magnification or its to much Magnification?
the spider below is very small you can only see 1 color and its on his back when viewing it with just your eyes
and you cant see any color by his face like the front legs until its magnified,
in other words if your looking at the spider with your eyes he looks all black with 1 color on his back.
i use fuji xt-3 BKT and stack with helicon focus 7

Most Impressive Macro photos!!
I LOVE these lenses. I have both the 150 and 250. On my Canon Powershot SX60 HS. I actually sanded the part that clips onto the camera's lens... in front of it, because it was too tight a fit. Now it goes on and off easily! Takes the MOST AMAZING pictures and there is a LEARNING CURVE on how to use it moving in and back and forth. However, there are a few great Youtube videos demonstrating this for you! I am VERY HAPPY with both these lenses!! Nicely made and I feel will last a long time if well cared for!

Fantastic carry-on macro converter for zoom lenses
I had the 8 diopter Raynox DCR-250 which has amazing image quality but very shallow DOF and quite challenging to focus at short distance without use of a tripod.
Now this DCR-150 is way easier to focus handheld and at twice the distances than the 250.
Image quality of Raynox macro adapters are probably unsurpassed only a more expensive dedicated macro lens will better it.
Truly small and light, extremely fast to add and remove from lens filter thread with the included plastic clip mechanism or with an extra ring adapter to the 43mm DCR lens thread. I'm using it with Olympus OM-D E-M10 + Olympus 14-150mm II zoom, turns it into an instant macro lens.
If it's your first macro adapter and are in doubt between the DCR-250 and DCR-150, I strongly recommend the later.

capable of excellent images, but hard to tell when it is actually in focus
I've been using this lens extension on a Lumix FZ1000 camera. It's pretty easy to attach/remove the extension from the lens, even when I'm hiking, and carrying the macro lens in my pants pocket. However, I have trouble really telling when the image is actually in focus !! I often believe the image is in sharp focus, only to get home and find the details blurred, which sort of defeats the purpose of the lens.
To be honest, this isn't necessarily the macro lens' fault - it *could* be an issue with the camera lens, or it could even be my eyes themselves... I don't know how to answer that question. In any case, I solve that issue by taking several images with slightly tweaked focus, and usually end up with at least one that is excellent - which proves that the Raynox (and the camera itself) are capable of sharp focus !!
Anyway, I'm enjoying the Raynox, and will probably also get the DCR-250 to get some higher magnification (though I suspect that will aggravate the focusing issues)...
I definitely recommend this lens for a macro extension.

Great fun
I was a bit worried about the snap on nature of this lens, so I got all these adapter step-up and step-down rings for my various cameras in order to screw on the macro lens rather than using the adaptor. However, I've ended up just using the snap-on adapter because it seems quite well made and it works well that way. I'm surprised at reviewers who complained about it because it doesn't seem flimsy at all. The optical quality is excellent, and much better than I expected. My only regret is perhaps that I got the 150 rather than the 250, which I'll probably end up getting eventually.

Excellent image quality
I used this with a Panasonic DMC-FZ2000 digital bridge camera to take high res photos of my old 35mm color slides and the results were comparable to scanning them at about 3000 dpi on my Epson Perfection 600 scanner, but no waiting! Shot on aperture priority at about f4 1/30s. lens at 200mm zoom shot at about 7” from slides completely filled the frame. Used peaking for initial focus in manual focus mode. Shot RAW2 and after editing to 300dpi I got printable 9x12 and more than HD screen size

A must have tool!
One of the best photography accessories i have ever bought! it's more than worth what it costs, especially considering what it can do, i bought mine for an olympus pen epl-5 with the kit 40-150 mm lens and it takes excellent photos, you will definitely need a macro slider rail of some sort as the depth of field is very narrow, i plan on getting the dcr-250 as well. Shipping was much faster than i expected as well, on my order details it was telling me it would not arrive until between august 7th-27th so it was a nice surprise, it was packaged very well and came in a nice plastic case, the only thing i can see wrong with this is the lens cap for the lens is very hard to take off the lens unless you use your fingernails, i may glue a loop to the front of the rubber cap to help me pull the cap off.

LOVE IT !
This thing is fabulous! I have both the DCR 150 and the DCR 250 in 52mm size and have found I actually prefer the 150 because I have a little more range in terms of what is in focus. Using it on a camcorder, I can zoom in and out a bit to get the size of my subject just right anyway.
My camcorder has a maximum of 10x optical zoom. I've fount the camcorder has to be zoomed out to the end of range 2 to the beginning of range 3 to avoid vignetting. It works with higher zoom settings on the camcorder. Of course, the higher the zoom setting, the closer it gets to the subject.
I only wish it would fit my larger diameter zoom Canon camera lenses.

Excellent product
Unable to secure a Canon 250D close up lens in the 58 mm size for several months, I finally decided to try the Raynox DCR 150.
I have a Nikon D5100 fitted with the 50 mm F1.8G prime lens. I was initially concerned that there may be darkening of the image at the corners due to the Raynox being only a 49 mm lens or that the resolution would be noticeably poorer than that of the Nikon prime.
I am happy to report that there is no significant darkening at the corners and that the DCR 150 provides tack sharp close up's. Fine hairs on a bee, the texture of an orchid flower and subtle colors all come through beautifully.
There was no sign of chromatic aberration either.
The real challenge is being able to focus accurately when often your subject ( an insect or a flower ) keeps moving. A tripod would provide the best quality, although I found that by using a small aperture ( f11 ) and manual focus that I was able to get some very impressive first shots.
A few reviewers have made note of the difficulty in removing the protective caps from the unit.
All I can say is that for me it was a minor issue
In summary an excellent product and well worth having in your gadget bag.
A product that exceeded my expectations

Will work with dSLR, not just super-zooms.
While ideal for most point-n-shoots, this clip-on lens is mind-blowing with a dSLR IF (and it's a BIG *IF*) your lens will be able to "see through" the 43mm glass elements of the Raynox. That's right - the actual thread size of the glass element holder is only 43mm. I'm sure that's part of what makes it affordable for the average photographer! However, to make that work with my dSLR it means NOT using a wide-angle lens, and with my normal or telephoto lens stopping down to f/8 or f/11 or even f/16. You can see a lot of other sample images of what these Raynox lenses do by doing an image search with the DCR-150 search word. It's also worth noting that Flickr has several groups that are dedicated to photos taken with these close-up accessories.
Question & Answer
Question :
will this attach to my Canon powershot sx530 it has a 67mm filter on it?
Answer :
Although we are using a SX40 successfully, the SX530 seems similar enough to fit. I suggest you review the SX40 on Canon site and compare with the SX530 before moving forward.
Question :
Does it fit FZ300?
Answer :
This Raynox lens attaches to the front of the lens by gripping onto the exposed filter threads. So if this camera has threads to attach a filter, and if those threads fall between the range of 52mm to 67mm, then i would say yes it will fit. There are also ways to adapt the Raynox to cameras that dont have these kinds of threads.
Question :
Will this lens work with the Canon Rebel T3i?
Answer :
Dear guest, it does not depend upon your camera body but the lens! If the lens you are using has a filter thread diammeter from 52mm to 67mm, go for it!
Question :
will this lens work on both a Lumix FZ35 & FZ100? thanks, Pat
Answer :
use an adapter designed for the camera. google the make and filters
Question :
When using dcr-150 with sony dsc-hx400v to shoot insects etc., should i use the full zoom or zoom out at about 10-20x for best depth of field?
Answer :
The longer the focal length, the more shallow the DoF. You will be able to use the DCR-150 at any focal length of your zoom lens, but available light will limit your selections of aperture to larger f/stops, like f/4 or f/5.6. And you will NEVER get close to 10x life-size (10:1 magnification), let alone 20x life-size (20:1 magnification). I doubt that you will even obtain 1:1 magnification with your zoom lens.
Question :
Does it work with sony alpha 77 camera?
Answer :
I have never used it with that camera but it seems like it might work. I have used it on the SX40 but did not like it for it required one to zoom out quite a bit to avoid clipping the image. This is due to the fact that the radius of the adapter is smaller then the radius of the cameras lens. I think you might have the same problem for the lens radius of the 77 looks like it is bigger then the DCR-150.
Question :
Will this snap on canon sx530?
Answer :
It does not look to me like it would not attach as intended. These Raynox lenses attach with a spring loaded clip that grips the filter threads on the front of a lens. But it looks like this camera does not have filter threads on the lens. You could still jury-rig a way to seat the lens to the front of your camera lens, however. But be careful to be sure that it stays on.
Question :
Would this fit on my Canon 55X250mm zoom lens? The lens filter size is 58mm. Thanks for any help you can give me.
Answer :
yes fits on my 67mm but not my 77mm lenses
Question :
Is there a version of this that will fit a 72mm lens? I borrowed one from a friend, and it does not stretch to 72mm.
Answer :
use an adapter designed for the lens.
Question :
Does this work with the Canon 55-250stm lens?.
Answer :
Yes, the Raynox DCR-150 will work with the Canon 55-250stm lens. You will love this attachment!
