Pretty Much Perfect!

The Xpro is a huge improvement over the X1T. It’s hard to even believe they were made for the same purpose by the same company and are only one generation apart. Every single area the X1T fell short, the Xpro delivers on.

There’s a huge, beautifully backlit screen which shows tons of info for up to 5 channels at once or zoomed in to see each channel individually. This screen means the settings are much easier to figure out and the menus are far, far easier to navigate. Of course, you can quickly turn on HSS and rear curtain sync from here and set each group in a different mode if you’d like.

To help with that, there are a LOT of buttons and dials on here, all clearly labeled (unlike the X1T), letting you choose each group with the push of a button then quickly change its settings. The dial feels smooth and high quality as does everything else with the build quality.

Speaking of build quality, it’s quite a different form factor from the X1T. This is a bit taller so you can attach and detach from your camera more easily (the X1T was a bit close to the body and sometimes hard to get a good grip to unscrew it when it was on there tight). Although it appears much larger, it’s actually surprisingly compact, which is nice.

Add to all that a few cool extras like the new TCM function and ability to choose if you’re working at closer or longer distances to avoid misfires with flashes close to the trigger, you get one of the best wireless triggers on the market. With an already really strong range of speedlights, strobes and hybrids like the AD200, the Xpro has made me even more confident to completely jump over to their system.

Great trigger

20200121 1755. I bought this for a friend who shoots canon. (I've tried to convince him to change to Sony). This is the same as the trigger I use on my Sony cameras, but for the Canon. All the great Godox/Flashpoint compatibility, with a Canon mount.

The Pro trigger has a large screen and 5 groups (A - E) with full control of power, TTL, and all the other settings available on the strobe or speedlight. This device easily controls (for me) 4 speed lights, 2 AD 200 units, and one Flashpoint strobe.

Battery life is not as good as an XT-1, but much more functionality.

Nice to be able to control more than 5 groups of lights.

The ability to select up to 16 groups was my main reason for this purchase, as I already own a Godox X2Tc which is limited to controlling only 5 groups. Unfortunately, this Pro unit does not offer TTL mode, but it has worked flawlessly for me when I've needed to control more than 5 groups of lights. It would be nice if an updated version of this Pro unit became available that offered the additional features of the X2Tc like frequency search for a clear channel and TTL. So I'm now using both, the Pro unit when working with more than 5 groups in the studio, and the X2Tc when out of the studio and using speedlites and 5 or less groups. Both are working great, but with the noted limitations.

Easy to get a grasp of.

2 days of owning it, putting nearly 1k shots through it, and I'm flying through the menus and settings. Pairs my Canon 1d Mark iii to my Godox AD200 with no missed flashes so far.

The plastic is not cheap or extreme quality but has survived a few bumps so its more than acceptable. On my channel select buttons, the first 2 dont click like the rest. They need a little mashing to get them to switch

Simple and Easy

I have the Godox X1T-C 2.4G Wireless Flash Trigger, but wanted to be able to move faster on the fly without having to stop, push, and scroll. The Godox Xpro-C TTL helps me do just that. I will use the previous trigger with my backup camera.

The display is easy to read and everything is accessible quickly. Very small learning curve, but I have experience with triggers and was already set up with the frequencies between the trigger and my strobes, remotes, and flashes. As far as they were concerned, nothing changed.

I like this trigger a lot and advocate its use.

Very Impressive!

I use this trigger on my Canon EOS 5D Mark IV. I've use it thus far with 3 Speedlites using the same Channel, same groups and same channel different groups. My camera totally understands this unit and it works wonderfully with the X-1C Receiver. It really utilizes the ETTL, and it does it very well. Throw in a reasonable price and there's no need to spend 3 times as much for similar Big Name brands. The only caveat is I can't get it to use the FEB function. All other functions work fine.

Best flash commander to date.

16 flashes, independent zooming and ttl to manual conversion. And it's cheap. 3 years ago I hated Godox but now this trigger and ad200s have made my job so much easier.... Did I mention this also turns modeling lights on and off? Cause it does.

like a charm!

intuitive design... watch a youtube tutorial and you're good to go. easy to use and so much functionality. if you are looking for a case, I found that the Hard Travel Case Bag for Logitech MX Anywhere 2/2S Wireless Mobile Mouse by GUBEE is perfect (just cut the mesh screen out). if you are thinking about it, just buy it, you will be happy.

Perfect flash trigger for my Godox strobes

I needed a remote flash trigger to mount on my Canon 5D mk IV that would fire off my Godox AD600 and AD200 strobes, with full control, including high speed sync. This unit does exactly that and no other attachments to the strobes are necessary. I am really happy with the performance, the versatility and the "feel" of this unit. Definitely the value produce I was looking for.

Very Impressive Trigger

What can I say? This flash trigger is amazing. It's easy to work with and pairs flawlessly with the Godox TT600/685/860ii flashes and more. It works as flawless as anything I've used at a much higher price. If you want a professional trigger as an impossibly low price, buy this now.

Question & Answer

Question :

How can I remote trigger a camera using this remote to control the flashes?

Answer :

It's a while ago, but I think I have the same question. I want to trigger my camera remotely, and have a remote flash. I put a receiver on camera and flash, have the transmitter in hand. If I fire, the camera shutter triggers AND the flash fires immediately, NOT controlled by the camera. So I guess you need one transmitter in your hand and a receiver on the camera on one channel, a SECOND transmitter on the camera and a receiver at the flash (if it doesn't have a built in) on another channel. That way the flash is controlled/triggered by the camera, while I trigger the camera remotely. To do otherwise, you would need a transceiver with 2 circuits on the camera.
There was an answer to that at dpreview website as well

Question :

Para la nueva canon rp funciona para hacer disparos en altas velocidades?

Answer :

si. trabajara muy bien sincronizada.

Question :

Will this work for godox v1-c for canon?

Answer :

Yup, it sure will.

Question :

I have several different brands of flash. i have switched to canon mirrorless system and i’m wondering how i can connect 3 external flash?

Answer :

Sorry I’m not familiar with the mirrorless. Check the Canon website.

Question :

Can i control the godox tt600 flash intensity from this trigger?

Answer :

Yes, the Xpro will control the TT600 as a manual flash. You have to activate the wireless signal on the TT600 first, then rotate dial to set Slave or Master. Then group and channel icons appear and become selectable. The Xpro will then command it easily.

Question :

Has anybody found a nice carry or storage case for this unit? All the flashes have a case - I would like to protect this too.

Answer :

While I understand your concern, one of the great things about these units is that they are very durable. I have dropped mine many times over the different variations of this trigger I have had and none of them have stopped working. The only thing I would recommend is to be careful of the battery door falling off. I have lost two of the battery doors on a couple of mine. Used velcro to create a way of keeping the batteries in on those.

Question :

Is this compatible with canon EOS rebel t7i?

Answer :

Yes. If the Canon camera you are using has a ‘hot shoe’ flash a lot on top of the camera, you should be good to go. The Godox ‘C’ speaks Canon.

Question :

Does it work with the new mirrorless canon eosr?

Answer :

Yes it does.

Question :

Can i use this trigger flash with einstein flash buff/digibee flash unit/digibee flash unit?

Answer :

You may be able to do an optical trigger of your flashes if the Godox first triggers a Canon compatible flash. But no direct control unless they ‘speak’ Canon.

Question :

Does this use aa or aaa or is a built in battery?

Answer :

It uses 2 AA batteries.
