With their Zeus light, GoPro have created the perfect all-around LED light. It can be snapped onto GoPro media mod cases for use with their cameras, or clipped onto any GoPro mount (via the attached adapter) for use as an off-camera video light or a general LED light for camping, boating, working on your car...
And guess what? It's also the perfect BIKE (rear) light! Clicking the button on top of the light allows you to cycle through 3 levels of brightness (and this thing is wicked bright!), then the 4th press makes the LED blink on and off. Since I already have a GoPro mount underneath the saddle of my road bike, I can simply attach this tiny light and set it to blink, then -voila- I have a SUPER bright rear light that can be seen from at least a kilometer away! Granted, it's not red, but it's waaaaay better and more visible than having some cheap bike light rubber-banded to your seat post.
The Zeus light is USB-C rechargeable just like your GoPro camera, bike computer, etc., it's waterproof, and the battery lasts 5-6hrs on the low / blinking settings, or a little over an hour on the highest setting. Pick one of these up and you'll likely end up using it not only for video work, but all over the house, garage and even on your bike.

I already had one of the magnetic swivel mounts and when I saw this was on sale with a 30% off coupon I couldn't pass it up. The price after tax came out to be just about the same as if I had purchased just the light mod at $50. Even on the lowest setting it's pretty bright. I'll be using this for more than just the GoPro. There's so many options for mounting it or attaching it for light wherever you need it. I also like that the light can detach and I have the Hero 9 media mod and can use it in the cold shoe as well. As others have pointed out the silicone diffuser cover can easily fall off and become lost. I'm going to search around and see if there's an aftermarket one that has a way to loop around and secure it. Other than that this little light shines quite brightly in my book.

The light can detach from the magnetic swivel clip and if you have a media mod for the Hero 8 or the Hero 9/10 the light can be attached to the cold shoe on the top or the side. The light doesn't attach to the GoPro itself.....just to the media mod or aftermarket cages that have a cold shoe built in.

IKR. At one point Amazon and the Gopro website had the same prices then at one point Gopro decided to drop the price. Every now and then Amazon has it on sale or with a coupon for the same $49.99. Also if you have a Gopro subscription you can get discounts on all accessories if bought directly from the Gopro website.

There's really no difference other than the magnetic mount is included with it. If you don't have a media mod for the Hero 8,9 or 10 with the cold shoe mount this would be the route to go with. Better to buy it directly from Gopro's website since it's $49.99 there and doesn't see that price here on Amazon unless it's on sale.
