So Far So Great

25' Chris Craft Launch, Dale Hollow Lake, TN. These lights are expensive, but they light up the water behind your boat. I ran mine off our aux battery for 2-3 hours with the fridge, radio, and courtesy lights going. I always had enough power after nights on the lake. When docked up there is an oval of 20 feet X 20 feet behind the boat that is illuminated. I screwed up and didn't realize how high above the water line my boat rests so our lights are maybe 4-5 inches below the water line. Make sure you go deep enough below the water line, I think it's 8 inches minimum. They still look cool but my wake doesn't get that "illumination" like i had on the last boat with lights. Oh well. Still cool. Lights are great after one trip out. Pictures definitely don't do them justice. Pics probably capture half of the illumination that they actually put out.

Best Under Water Lights

Great lights, I had been eyeballing these for a while and had a difficult time coming to terms with spending the money on them. I am so glad I did! These are super bright and super cool at night. Definitely gives the boat a unique appearance at night while cruising across the lake of bay.

Make sure you use waterproof connections, I found my first set of non water proof connections corroded quickly causing the lights to not work. I originally thought that a light went out but after checking the connection realized to had corroded severely. I trimmed the wire back and installed water proof connections and have not had any problems since. When I say they corroded quickly, I mean less than 30 days the light would not turn on. Everything works great now that I changed the connections.

A bit pricey but sooooo worth it!!!

These lights are amazing!! Super bright as you can see by the picture I took during the day! Can’t wait to get them in the water this year. These things are definitely built to last with a solid brass heavy duty construction. The install was fairly simple and very small Hull penetrations. The only issue I ran across was some ground loop feedback that caused a hum in the speakers when I had the LEDs on with the speakers. This was easily solved by placing a noise canceling device in series with each LED. They were only about $12 each on amazon so great solution! These lights are a bit expensive but if they are anything like what I see during the day, then the night rides will be epic!

Nothing more to add, expensive but seems amazing. Let's see how to last during the time.

Question & Answer

Question :

How many watts does this light use

Answer :

Good evening,
We appreciate the interest on our product.
It is rated at 25 watts

Thanks and let us know if you have more question

Question :

I see two options on Amazon. One costs $284 and the other $227. what's the difference or extra functionality of the more expensive one?

Answer :

I would read the product description carefully to verify this, but the light that is $284 color Bronze (what the fixture is made with) is the multi color spectrum one, where the $227 light is the white/blue color only, which is the one I have purchased in the past.

Question :

How many lums for the spectrum rgbw light at different colors? if different what are the amps per color?

Answer :

The SeaBlaze Quattro has 2000 lumens. The light fades from one color to the other continuously until locked in. There is no measurement of amps per color. The amp draw listed is the max amp draw based on a 12 or 24 volt system.

Question :

Does the bronze one from the choices above mean it is multi colored as opposed to the blue and white?

Answer :

Bronze is just the housing. These lights cycle through all the spectrum colors of light. Once it gets to the color you want you can select that color by quickly turning it off and back on.

Question :

Is the "bronze" color for the rgb version since the other one says "blue/white"?

Answer :

No...the framework is cast in solid bronze and therefore very resistant to any type of corrosion. RGB is full spectrum and slowly fades through all the colors. There is a version that is only Blue/white.

Question :

Will these lights work on my shadow caster controller?

Answer :

The concern I have with a digital controller is if it will cycle the power fast enough to lock in the color.

Question :

I have a 28 express cruiser and boat on the upper chesapeake bay. will two of these lights at 2000 lumens show up very well in the water?

Answer :

Yes they are extremely bright. However if you have twin motors I recommend 3 lights. Looks much better. 2 is fine with only 1 motor.

Question :

Do they start out, and cycle through the same colors as the lumitec rail gunnel lights ?

Answer :

Yes they start white and fade through all the colors

Question :

Can you control the light color? Is there a remote or something?

Answer :

This light is designed with our TTP technology. This means the modes of the light are operated by a sigle pole single throw toggle switch. When you turn the light on the default mode is activated. For the 101510 Spectrum the default mode is the color cycle. When you toggle the swich after the light is on it will lock the light on the color you see when the switch is toggled. Toggle again and it will go back into the color cycle mode. You can watch a video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-WbMrJwG1o

Question :

How do you sync the two lights together to one color?

Answer :

When you power them on, they begin the light cycle together. To keep a particular color, quickly turn the power off and right back on, the present color will remain continuously. To start over, turn the power off for a few seconds, turn back on, it starts over from the beginning.
