Yes but them
Very impressed that the metal is very sturdy and well made. I would not use the hardware that comes with the plate.... go to Lowe’s and purchase your own wall anchors/screws. But this worked great In my broadcasting shooting room. We mounted our lights on the wall vs having them junk the room up with too many light stands on the floor.
Great price as well

Works great as feet for Ice Lights!
I don't use them as intended to hang lighting gear from the ceiling or wall. Instead, I got four of these that I mount as feet to a pair of Westcott Ice Light II's. Then I use the Ice Lights in Product photography and these 'feet' allow me to put the light down low or up high. And sometimes I lay the Ice Lights down so that they are about 1" in the air by resting on both feet. I'm really pleased with this solution.

Sturdy stand that works perfectly, but it needs to be mounted securely.
I needed this to mount a small LED light on a wall. I use it to back light a green screen. The mount is stable and works perfectly; however, it is designed to screw into studs, not drywall. If you are going into drywall I highly recommend using high-quality drywall anchors. The screws that come with the unit will pull out under weight. The bracket itself is very sturdy. As long as it is mounted properly, it would carry about any type of photography light.

Does just what it says
The only thing that would make this absolutely complete would be if it came with a gimbal mount. But since those are also available separately on Amazon, it's not really that problematic that it doesn't come with one.

Works great! I have a drop ceiling in my basement ...
Works great! I have a drop ceiling in my basement and I built a 2'x2' ceiling tile out of some thin plywood and a reinforcing strip of wood on the back to screw the mount into. It makes for a useful, movable ceiling tile that I can mount a small softbox (LimoStudio 4x45W CFL) or back spotlight (StudioPRO Premium Spot Daylight LED) to.
The mount is only limited by my drop ceiling, it's build well and could probably hold a lot more weight.

They hold things up and don't look half bad.
They work. Simple as that. (I'm hanging the Neewer LED light panel.) I was expecting to replace the screws with meatier ones, but the location I needed to mount them was nowhere near a stud. Does not appear to be a problem at all. They survived a full weekend of shooting and fiddling around without a millimeter of play.

Self explanatory
It does it’s job. Might want to get mounting screws as the ones that come with it are trash

Question & Answer
Question :
Do the holes match up with a vesa mount?
Answer :
Haven’t used a “ves@ mount so I don’t know. Sorry.
Question :
Will this fit a vesa mount?
Answer :
no, the hole pattern doesn't match VESA
Question :
How much weight can this support? Will it be able to hold something about 5-6lbs?
Answer :
Probably. I have two lights up, each about 4-5 lbs. one is nailed into the wall, the other attached to a drop ceiling frames with zip ties. Be sure to tighten the lights.
Question :
How far apart are the holes on the plate?
Answer :
2 1/2 "
Question :
Do these work for the limo studio soft boxes?
Answer :
Yes as long as it has a light stand bracket
Question :
Can anyone share the dimensions of the actual square base?
Answer :
3 1/4" x 3 1/4 " is the base dimension
Question :
Will this item work well on Sheet Rock?
Answer :
Absolutely not, as attempting to secure into sheet rock only would be unsafe, especially after mounting your lighting. You really have to make the extra effort to always be safe and practice safety. The included mounting screws/hardware is not adequate to create a safe working environment for mounting studio lighting.
Question :
Will this fit a ring light?
Answer :
Look at the bottom bracket of your ring light, does it have the female end with a screw clamp? This is basically the same end of a light stand, so if your ring light works on a light stand then yes, this will work. I have mine screwed to the rafters in my house and have LED panels pointing downward. Hope that helps.
Question :
Could I use this to hang Neewer 200Ws?
Answer :
Yes. That's what I use.
