Worked great in my Sony camcorder.

I tried a generic brand of this product but my camcorder kept giving me a message that it might not store media properly so I bit the bullet and paid double for the Sony card instead. Although pricey, these camcorders do require the flash media designed for it. Now all is good (except my pocket book). Got the rescue plan as well. Good price for that ($5) in case this card goes kaput. At least my memories will be recovered for the next 3 years if it should.

Memory stick with a lot of memory

I have a Sony cyber shot and love the camera. I use it for my real estate business taking pictures of houses. I needed a memory stick with a lot of memory and this one does the trick. I will be able to store thousands of photos.

For Camera or PSP, you will be happy with the speed.

First of all, I was going to gift this to a friend of mine, for his PSP, and bought this one because the others (the slower others) cost almost the same, so I went for the Pro-HG card, that delivers very high speed to your PSP games (whatever may be their origin or format, you know.) and should deliver even higher speeds to a camera using it. It sounds silly to use pro-grade memory on a gaming device, but if you hate those big lines before the toll booths you gotta hate lags and games stuttering as well. If that's an issue, buy something like this card and that will be a problem of the past. Just beware of counterfeit cards, it's been plaguing Sony's reputation for a long long time.

Received MS-HX32B as replacement, but worked fine in PSP-1001 anyway.

Paid for the MS-HX32A, but received the slightly faster and more expensive MS-HX32B as replacement. What's not to love about a free model upgrade? Well, perhaps when you're ordering a certain specific model for guaranteed compatibility? Thankfully the "B" model worked fine in my ancient PSP 1001 anyway, which isn't on Sony's guaranteed compatibility list. And no, the PSP does not load faster with the faster flash because the PSP's controller chip is too old to take advantage of it.

Good price from amazon.

I purchased this item because of price. They (amazon) list two of the Sony cards in this size and I purchased the less expensive one thinking they were the same. Later I notice the two cards had different letters at the end. This one is A and the other is G. I couldn't find much difference in the description and have been meaning to call Sony to find out what the difference is. Evidently I haven't done this yet but will tell you when I find out. This card seems to work just fine though.
Later. I called Sony and asked them what the difference was between the MSHX32A which amazon sells for $111 and the MSHX32G which sells for $193 on amazon's site. They said the one that ends in G is "Transfer Jet" compatible. He said that what that means is that the G card can transfer data wirelessly to other peripherals that are also "Transfer Jet" compatible. I've never heard of "Transfer Jet" and since I don't have anything that is "Transfer Jet" I guess I saved $80.

Whats not to like?

Like a lot of folks, I take a gazillion photos. I've been known to shoot the same scene 10 times with slightly different compositions, and exposures. Plus the camera I use has several features that take multiple photos and combine them into one for a better final HDR like image. With the cameras ability to take rapid fire photos in sequence, the speed of this cards ability to record the image is critical. I'm very happy to report that at the highest 12 megapixel setting, and highest quality setting, this card shows no sign of choking on the data. Plus I never have to reach for another card because one is full. Not with 32GB capacity. I love it.

The last great hurrah for my PSP

The last great hurrah for my PSP. This is the fastest memstick you can buy for the old system. 64GB cards are exponentially more rare and expensive.

easy to use

Purchased this memory stick for my Sony camcorder about 5 years ago and has never failed. I love the ease of just putting it in my card reader and drag and drop the files into my computer. I will buy another one to have on hand. Thanks for a great product.

Question & Answer

Question :

can this memory stick be used in my sony HD 1920x1080 handycam camera

Answer :

I wish I could answer for you but I don't know - I apologize that I can't attest to that question for you. I am using it in my Sony Handycam Model DCR-DVD505 & it works fine for that, but I don't remember what the resolution is for my Handycam model.

Question :

I have a Sony handy cam DCR-SR42 & I need a pro duo memory card with lots of GB . I would like to know will this memory card work to store live video

Answer :

I am using an HDX-AX2000 camera with Sony Memory Stick Pro-HG Duo, HX 32 GB. Works fine although the camera says that it may not read or write correctly. Sony manual says the camera has been tested with this chip. However, buy from a reputable dealer, I had two faulty chips from a Chinese group. I test the chips before use with a program that writes and reads from every location in the chip. Takes 1.5 hours to complete!

Question :

Has there been any problems reading with video cameras? I'm hoping this works for sony hdr-sr11

Answer :

From the reviews looks like this is primarily used for video cameras as it is a high speed memory stick. I used it in a sony psp and the games video was smooth when before it was choppy with a lex at card.

Question :

Can this work in a original psp 1000?

Answer :

I use it on a Sony alpha camera and works fine. I assume it would work on a PSP.

Question :

Please explain? Exactly what am I getting for over SIXTY DOLLARS compared to a San Disk for less than half the price? Thank You!

Question :

Will this work with sony 700x camcorder dsrtrv350?

Answer :

if you need it , check with OMAGEAR

Question :

The largest capacity card I currently have for my Sony Cybershot DSC-HX1 camera is 16gb. Will this memory card still work in my camera?

Answer :

Yes. Here's a compatibility chart from the manufacturer's site listing your model:
http://esupport.sony.com/US/p/support-info.pl?&info_id=12&mdl=DSCHX1
The Sony website's specifications do not indicate a size limit (though I would speculate based on the above page that it is 32GB):
http://esupport.sony.com/US/p/model-home.pl?mdl=DSCHX1&LOC=3&session_id=1073a253db1303b3374458b0afa2bd51#/howtoTab
However, the manual also states that this Pro-HG Duo is the best kind of Memory Stick to use for this camera (PDF link):
https://docs.sony.com/release/DSCHX1_EN_ES.pdf
If you are buying this to shoot video, no single video file can be larger than 4GB.
Hope that helps!

Question :

Is this not compatible with windows 10 or a mac's card readers? that's all i have! how do i read what i put on this??

Answer :

Memory cards are independant of your operating system. The file format used is standard fat 32.

Question :

Answer :
