RODE NT-2 A Package
For less than $400 this is the best buy in my entire mic. arsenal. Sound is superb, sturdy construction with quality shock mount and pop filter. Multi pattern and hi pass filters are a major plus. This is comparable to mic's. costing almost twice the sale price.

Big step up from an entry level mic
I own a recording studio and this mic has really stood up to it's great reputation. This has been great for many vocals. This mic is a big step up from an entry level mic. You will likely find a bit too much high end on this especially with female vocals but you can simply eq that out. Over all an amazing mic.

A Go-To Mic.
Very great mic. Solid Construction. Has a nice flat response. For the price, the mic picks up great details of vocals with a balanced reproduction of high frequency. Stellar mic for the the lower- mid budget price point.

Very nice for the price. Sounds good for Vocals
I purchased 4 different mics that claim to be good for female vocalist in the $100-400 range. This one had the most pleasing sound (may not be true for all music types and all singer voices).
It is big and heavy, (I needed to add counter balance weight on the boom stand), The shock mount and pop shield are nice additions for studio use, they are well made.
It is a good value for the money.

Question & Answer
Question :
What is the best microphone stand for this microphone?
Answer :
On Stage Stands MS7701B Tripod Boom Microphone Stand $24.90 on Amazon
This stand has all the adjustments you need. I think the RODE comes with an adjustable adapter
Good Luck
Question :
Does anyone know what the basic difference is between this nt2a and the slightly less expensive (yet slightly higher rated) nt1a?
Answer :
I own the NT2A. It is the only condenser mic I have. It is very versatile & great for home studio recording. I do not own the NT1A but I can recommend this mic for it's versatility and sound quality.
Question :
What does it have over NT1A?
Answer :
Great review here...

Question :
Hello. Does anybody knows how this mic works with a classical nylon guitar ? I'm looking for a mic to amplify my nylon string guitar.
Answer :
I use mine to record a concert band and found it to have a very good reproduction of the instruments. I would have to assume it would reproduce your classical nylon guitar, but I have no experience with recording guitars. But the closest tone would probably be a clarinet and our clarinet section sounds great with this Mike. Hopefully someone with experience recording guitars will respond to your question. I assume your talking about acoustic recording. If so, I think this is your Mike!!
Question :
The original nt2a is made in austrailia... is this package made in china or australia?
Answer :
Made in Australia, according to the printing on the box.
Question :
Is there a black version? i don't think so seeing that i can't find one besides the nt1, it will break from my color scheme of black and red.
Answer :
Sorry, not that I know of...
Question :
Sorry I'm a noob in mics. Is this one capable of recording in stereo?
Answer :
No, this mic is mono.
Question :
Nt2a, nt1a and nt1 which one is best for vocal recording?
Answer :
I don't think I am qualified to answer that question. I think they are all good for vocal recording but I can't say which one is best.
Question :
This mic doesn’t have 48v phantom power built in it does it? I’m wanting to use it with a Focusrite preamp with Phantom power.
Answer :
No built in pre-amp in the NTA-2. Almost all interfaces and mixers provide 48V phantom supply voltage. Most Focusrite interfaces have a 48V switch to accomodate microphones that require it. Refer to your user guide to see if that feature is available. The Rode NTA-2 a is a really good, versatile mic. Good luck
Question :
What stand manufacturers or particular models would you recommend for this mic? I'd like to get some semblance of a boom style tripod stand if possib
Answer :
I got my stand at guitarcenter. I actually went to their store and told them the mic I have and they recommended a few stands. It all depends what stand you want and your budget. This mic is expensive, so get a decent stand. I believe I paid no more than 100$ on my DR Pro Tripod Mic stand. They have it available for 71.99 on their website. It's made very well!
