New version works with Gopro Hero 5
Initially I thought it wouldn't work with the new Gopro hero 5 black because of some of the reviews. But, then I read that this product was later updated to support 4K recording. I decided to make a video recording test because I also read something about the video suddenly stopping while recording. I recorded about an hour and a half (the length of the battery duration) and I did not have an issue I was able to play it back successfully as well. I recorded in both 4k and 2.7 k.

Perfect MicroSD card for my GoPro Hero Session 5
Absolutely awesome microsd card, I have this in my GoPro Session 5 and it works flawlessly and the speed on it is pretty great for the 4k videos that I have recorded on it. All I know is that it works with my GoPro for it's 4K videos and that I haven't had any problems with it so far. I would recommend to purchase this microSD card on here because in the stores it is more expensive and most of the time they don't carry these for some weird reason. I would also only recommend SanDisk because other manufacturers cut corners and for some reason I always end up losing valuable footage with other microSD manufacturers. If you want a reliable microSD card, get this one! Even though this has 128GB it works perfectly with my GoPro Session 5.

Can't go wrong with SanDisk!
I've become a true-believer of SanDisk media cards. This 64Gb card has proven extremely versatile - first as a memory card for a DSLR camera, and in its present configuration, a media card for a Raspberry Pi. I like the low failure rate (I've experienced) with SanDisk, and would recommend the brand to anyone who needs media cards.
Each package comes with an SD card converter, so it can fit in the larger slots in your computer or DSLR. I've personally used this type (lesser storage) as my go-to in a Google chromebook as secondary storage. Has not let me down yet!
Full disclosure: 64 Gb is the highest amount of storage I've purchased from this company.

Great in my LG G6
I'm a tech geek, but not to the extent of measuring specs and complaining when a product doesn't meet them (numberwise). For me, it's more about functionality. I bought this card for storage size and speed (4k video recording needs *some*, haha), as well as the fact that I trust the SanDisk name for SD cards.
Well, it functions fine. I've moved all my high-volume storage apps over to it now, including my camera storage, and other than a few app specific issues (which are definitely APP specific, as other similar apps have no problem finding my data on the card), everything is as expected.

A must have for Android users,
Product shipped and received faster than the original estimate since a Amazon Ware House was near by. Using the Axon 7 Smart Phone, the data speeds were faster than the advertised on Amazon. Plus when paired with an Android device, all of my pictures and documents load extremely fast when saved on the card. The smart phone itself is fast, but comparing it to my old phone (Note 4) which would kill Gallery sometimes when it took to long to read old pictures had zero problems on the ZTE phone using the same old 2GB SD card that came with the old phone.
When tested the same old card which I'm too embarrassed to say the brand since it came free with the old phone didn't crash but took longer to load than on the ZTE. But when the same files were loaded on the San Disk Extreme, the Note 4 didn't kill the Gallery app but loaded the images. Just no where near as fast as the ZTE phone did. I bought this card when it was on sale and have been using it for 6 months now no problems. Also apps installed on the card were incredibly fast compared to the old 2GB one. I'd advise investing in this card for phone use or if you had a camera since the images loaded fast and the data transfer speeds were incredible.
Pros:
Holds it's name, extremely fast
Came with a SD adapter
Cons:
None, the product shipped extremely fast as well.

Durable cell phone memory card
My Kingston microSD card bit the dust after 11 months in the poorly designed Moto X Pure which suffered from overheating issues. I picked up the SanDisk Extreme in hopes of keeping all of my data safe regardless of my phone's tendency to heat up during extensive use. 8 months and two phones later, I can report that this is the most durable card you can get for the price. Not a single bit of data has been corrupted or lost after six airplane trips, 12 security x-rays, and hours of intensive use with video, Pokemon, and filming.
If you are transferring Android phones, first transfer everything from your old phone to the new phone with one of the many apps available from phone manufacturers. Use a data management app like File Commander to erase all folders on your SD card except for /DCIM/Camera/. Then turn off both devices and transfer the card from your old phone to the new phone. This will transfer just your photos and videos to the new phone and avoid any conflicts with old app data.

Great for GoPro Hero5 Session
Purchased this card for my GoPro Hero5 Session. After some initial setup issues with the firmware updates, I called the 800# for GoPro. They informed me that this specific card is "not tested" by GoPro so they technically do not support this card. But after troubleshooting and completing the firmware update to this card, it has worked perfectly. So far, I have recorded about 30 minutes of 1440 resolution videos (not 4k), and only took up about 6% of memory space on this card. Used a basic adapter to transfer files to my p.c. and that also worked.
Great card for GoPros! Plenty of space for hours of video.

Very fast Random 4k Read/Writes on Raspberry Pi 2.
Works great in a RPi2. Below are iozone v3.434 metrics on an ext4 filesystem (default options and relatime). Invocation: iozone -e -I -a -s 10M -r 4k -i 0 -i 1 -i 2 which was run 3 times, resulted in the following numbers for the 4k random read and write (which are the TRUE measure of a SD card since sustained R/W is seldom a real-world scenario):
SanDisk Extreme 16GB microSDHC UHS-1 Card with Adapter (SDSQXNE-016G-GN6MA) [Newest Version
]:
Avg(Rnd reads)=7,393 KB/s (StdDev=13)
Ave(Rnd writes)=3,342 KB/s (SrdDev=26)
In addition to this synthetic benchmark, this Linux distro uses pacman as its package manager. It took pacman approx. 26 seconds to install approx. 165 MiB of the "base-devel" group which is approx 6,000 files using this card.
SanDisk Extreme 32GB microSDHC UHS-1 Card with Adapter (SDSQXNE-032G-GN6MA) [Newest Version
]:
Avg(Rnd reads)=7,402 KB/s (StdDev=269)
Ave(Rnd writes)=3,071 KB/s (SrdDev=16)

My new favorite Micro SD
I bought several Samsung EVO cards for my drones just to find that they did not write at nearly the speed advertised so a friend turned me on to these and I could not be happier. I purchased one just to check the quality (at high speeds drones with slow writing cards will pixelate and these did not!) so the next day I bought 2 more. From now on these will be my go to card for any high speed recording
Question & Answer
Question :
How many pictures does this memory card hold from a cell phone?
Answer :
Since we don't know what size pictures you phone takes we can only give you an educated guess. It should hold over 60,000 1meg pics depending on how the card is formatted. It will hold a lot of pictures. Hope this helps.
Question :
Will it work with gopro hero5 black?
Answer :
I bought two of these, working fine on the Hero5 black at 1080p (video and stills). Saving seems a little slow, but same delay for burst and singles.. so I'm not 100% sure it's the card. But I've got several hundred pictures and many dozen videos from 30 seconds to 25 minutes.
Question :
The ad says uhs-! but the picture comes up as uhs-3. which is it?
Answer :
UHS-I and UHS-II are two different animals, where UHS-II has more pins than the former meaning a faster read speed . And whether your device is UHS-II capable is another question in and of itself due to whether your devices card reader has physical contact slots for those extra pins that a UHS-II card entails. There are other classifications. Class 10, the 10 with the circle around it is equivalent to a U1 rating meaning the card will never write less than 10 MB/s. A U3 rated card never writes less than 30 MB/s. Source: "https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bhphotovideo.com/explora/amp/computers/tips-and-solutions/numbers-your-memory-card?client=ms-android-asus"
In this case this memory card is UHS-I with a speed class of 3 (U3).
Question :
Will this work on a 3ds xl?
Answer :
No! All 3DS line only support MicroSDHC (32GB or less)
Question :
Please, can you tell me is this micro sd card fast enough to work on my Thieye T5 action camera ?
Answer :
Yes it is... i use it for mt phanton 4 pro and film in 4k with no issues and i also use one in my canon 5dsr which is a 50mega pixel camera with no issues. I dont use the micro in my canon but it's still the same
Question :
does this work with a samsung galaxy grand prime? i'm looking mainly to store music on my phone.
Answer :
Dear HB or anyone else who might know, I have a similar Samsung Galaxy Express Prime SM-J320A, and I want to store whatever I can including photos, music, etc. (contacts?) to free up phone memory. The manual calls for "microSDHC™ memory card" but says nothing about class. Does anyone know if this will work properly? I haven't heard this before; how do I find specs? Thanks!
Question :
What's the difference between new and older version of this card? Also some say "frustration free packaging." Is that safe to buy? Thanks!
Answer :
Hello Gregory ! - I HIGHLY recommend you to buy the NEWEST version of SanDisk Extreme. It has a number of improvements when compared with ANY OTHER SanDisk SD in the same category. For instance, I am a writer, and when I make changes to one of the chapters, I have to save the entire book which is almost 10 GB. I can tell the difference in the speed it takes to save the file. The 'Frustration-Free Packing' is a blessing. You can get to your card WITHOUT wresting the package for ten minutes and still need shears to get it open.
Question :
Will this work on the GreatCool 4K camera from amazon??
Answer :
Yes, this will work fine
Question :
MLC type?
Answer :
The only info I could find on this is that they use MLC in something they call "Sandisk Industrial" and "Sandisk Industrial XT." These use MLC tech and come with X2 branding. For us mortals, I think we will have to stick to their 20MB/s High Endurance model, you want to use it in dashcam? That's the only one which can do 20MB/s maximum. Not so great.
Question :
dose this disk work wih a rasbeyi 3
Answer :
I got this for my Raspberry Pi 3 it works fantastic like absolutely fantastic I also got the more expensive extreme Pro which is two steps up as you have this card then you have the Extreme Plus then extreme Pro so I skipped the plus and got the Pro 2 compared to this card and got the same exact results mainly because the MicroSD card reader inside the Raspberry Pi 3 does not allow you to go into UHS mode, this is a great card for Raspberry Pi 3
