This light provides uniform, gentle lighting that can be adjusted in terms of "color/temperature" that goes from warm to cool (bluish white) and brightness that can be adjusted to several levels of intensity. The package comes with all the different types of clamps, tripods, and holders that you might need to simulatneously hold a tablet and a cell phone just as is shown on the Ring Light's Amazon product page. There is also a small and very useful clicker that can be used to trigger the device to take images without touching the device, so it can be used from a distance. I have only used the setup for virtual meetings for which it has worked very well. However, I could easily see talented people using the setup to record a video of themselves playing an instrument or performing, and of course also for selfies.

I accidentally unscrewed the knob that adjusts the tripod and a hex nut fell out. How do I reattach them?

It attached the part with the hexagonal screw but I can't attach that to the piece that clamps onto the tablet holder. There's nothing to hold it together, but in the video it shows it as one piece that is attached to the part with the screw. I can't figure it out from the video because the pieces fell apart.
