So many questions, answered...
When I bought this, I read all the reviews on this site and more. The biggest question was does it include the dovetail, because the picture doesn't look like it does. I can confirm that it does - at least the one I received. The dovetail plate that is included measures about 2 3/4 x 1 3/8 inch and has a 3/8 inch tripod screw (will work with AZ-GTI). If you are getting this for AZ_GTI to use in EQ mode, you will also need to replace the knob that holds on the dovetail as the handle for the screw is too big. I recommend going to Home Depot and buying an M8 socket hex cap screw, (M8 (1.25) x 14mm long). Second question - does it have latitude markings? Yes it does, this is also not shown on the amazon photo (please see my photo). It also has a bubble level. It looks to be very sturdy. Can't wait to try it with my AZ-GTi that will come in tomorrow. Finally, it has two knobs on the back that don't appear to do anything - but I am a noob so???

Works great
Was able to set it up, align, and take 2-3 min exposures first try. I got a little blur, the longer the exposure the more perfect you will need the alignment to be. I recommend not using their LED light and either using a dim floody red (preferred) or white LED flashlight. It's just easier than the included light IMO. For a beginner, like I am, I could not be more pleased.

Adjustable, light weight
This base works well with a variety of mini guiding mounts. I am using the Vixen Polarie and the adjustments from this base work well for a DSLR with a lens. Much, much better than the Vixen alt az base by a very long shot. The 3/16" goes on well onto a sturdy tripod. Highly recommended!

Great for astrophotography
The star adventurer is very easy to setup on top of a tripod. I would suggest getting to YouTube and Facebook groups that use this device in order to fine tune and learn certain guidelines.

A must have for the Astrophotographer!!
Very well built wedge with smooth adjustments. A must have for anyone planning on doing long exposures of the night sky!! I tried using a tilt & pan head, and found it to be too difficult to make the fine adjustments required for polar alignment.

Great replacement base for the ioptron.
Great base, a lot better than the one that comes with the ioptron skyguider. If you have an ioptron skyguider buy this base. You’ll thank me later.

Must have add on for Skywatcher Adventurer
Star Adventurer Latitude (EQ) Base, works very well keeping the Skywatcher Adventurer more useful. Perfect attachment that makes polar alignment of the Star Adventurer and accurate tracking a snap. I use it with camera and telescopes. Takes a beating in rough weather and conditions.

best budget DIY variable angle bracket for video sliders
this keeps your camera perfectly leveled when you set up a video slider on a incline. application specific solutions will cost you around $500. all you need is add a rotating base and you are all set.

Question & Answer
Question :
Is this wedge compatible with the skywatcher az-gti mount?
Answer :
Not without replacing the saddle locking screw. The screw it too wide which causes the AZGTi Mount to hit it.
Question :
Isn't this supposed to include a dovetail plate? My package did not include one.
Answer :
Mine had a dovetail plate included. It measures about 2 3/4 x 1 3/8 inch and has a 3/8 inch tripod screw (will work with AZ-GTI). If you are getting this for AZ_GTI to use in EQ mode, you will also need to replace the know that holds on the dovetail as the handle is too big. I recommend going to Home Depot and buying an M8 socket hex cap screw, (M8 (1.25) x 14mm long).
Question :
What is the purpose of the green colored accessory piece called a "ball head adaptor"?
Answer :
It can mount to a standard tripod or ball head that has the 1/4-20 threads (non arca swiss). This product is almost required to help with setting polar alignment based on your current longitude.
Question :
Will this work with skyguider 1.5 inch tripod from ioptron?
Answer :
I can't answer because I don't have a Skyguider 1.5 inch tripod, but if you have a 1/4 or 3/8 screw, it's probably possible.
Question :
Does this come with 1/4-20 adaptor? My tripod head has a 1/4-20 bolt.
Answer :
Yes, it does come with 1/4-20 adapter.
Question :
Skywatcher s20530 star adventurer latitude (eq) base puede conectarse a una cámara cannon eos r6?
Answer :
hola, si se puede, yo uso una Nikon
Question :
Thread on the dovetail plate isn't the same as the star adventurer mounts threads. Do I need to buy different thread screw to mount it?
Answer :
The threads in the bottom of your skywatcher are slotted. So you can unscrew them and screw in the other set that came with it. One set is 3/8 the other set is 1/4 use which is appropriate. I had to swap mine out.
Question :
Can you recommend a tripod for this?
Answer :
Any very sturdy tripod. One you don't trip on. Typically a telescope tripod.
Question :
can you use the sky watcher wedge with a questar 90mm telescope or is it too heavy
Answer :
Should be fine. I believe the Questar weights around 7 lbs, and the Skywatcher is able to hold 11 lbs..
Question :
Does it include an m8 to m12 reducer for the counter weight bar to fit in a az-gti?
Answer :
The AZGTi is not intended to be used in EQ mode. Adapting the counter weight kit requires a third party adapter.
