On a solo trip, I was lucky enough to be paired with a guy that works for GoPro. He highly recommended this tray. I'm so happy with it. I have not experienced any issue with the balls rotating freely as other reviewer have mentioned. In fact, I recently tried removing them because I wanted to make the tray more compact (I don't really use the ball mounts). It was very difficult to remove them because they were so tightly screwed in. I managed to get them off by wrapping them with a cloth and using a pipe wrench. Now it's much easier to tuck one handle into the waist belt of my BCD when I'm not using it or getting back on the boat. The tray is solid and very well made and built to last. Perfect for mounting my Suptig light and GoPro camera.

Buy Sametop Aluminum Tripod Mount Adapter Compatible with Gopro Hero 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, Session, 3+, 3, 2, 1. Tripod mount for attaching your quick-release GoPro camera to a standard 1/4-20 tripod stud which is the male threads on the tray that screws into the adapter. It does not say in the directions but, the male screw nut arrives upside down. At the end of the slot one hole is threaded so you can spin it out and go up through the bottom instead of down through the top. Then used the tripod adapter. The rest you can figure out.

If you install dslr to dual gopro mount on the center yes or you can mount the gopros to the ball mounts above the handles with the right adapters. You can do anything you want with this it is all about having the right mounts and being creative.
