Was excited to try this waterproof camera as soon as it came in. Out of the box it felt a little too light in weight, then I realized that the battery was outside the camera. Once inserted, the weight was much better. Charged it a little then tried to take a picture while it was submerged. Everything is functioned and was able to take a picture. It reminds me of the plastic old school digital cameras. I can't speak for the picture quality yet as I still need to try it more but for the price seems sturdy. Also needs a micro sd card. Excited to try it on my beach trips this year!

The description says copper core wire. Unless you're going to clip the wire to see, I guess you'll have to take their word for it.
