added gear for sensor cleaning kits.

As a Photographer there is always a problem with having to touch out blemishes that are caused by dirt on the sensor. The wet kits are difficult to use correctly and it takes a lot of time and patience to get it right. Blowers only can do so much to remove particles that are heavily embedded on the sensor surface. It takes several tools working together to do the job well. You start with a blower first and move to this brush next. Where you recheck for any stubborn remains particles, where then move to the wet method. I would say the job isn't for the faint of heart and before anyone tries to perform a cleaning they should have some instruction on just how to do it. You can damage a sensor very easily, where a repair shop can have it done very quickly and painlessly.

Good Brush!

works well, didnt seem to attract the dust as i had hoped, but maybe the spinning or my Giotto Rocket wasn't aggressive enough to create the static. But it fits my sensor and works well!

Got my sensor cleaned up esp when you add a blow pump and a cleaning kit.

Be care - but this works for static-clung dust

Easy to use if instructions followed for static-clung dust particles. Anyone cleaning/dusting off their own DSLR sensor needs to be very careful and if you damage the sensor, its really your fault, not the tool. You do need a blower bulb (like a Rocket) to properly use the brush.

Just buy it now for your FF mirrorless camera!

Wow. I had a few stubborn pieces of dust that the blower would not remove. After charging the brush with my blower, all it took was one pass at the sensor and then every single speck was gone. I shot a quick snap at f/22 and it was completely clear. A must purchase item if you have a FF mirrorless camera.

Nice brush

Got this and put it right to work. Puffed it a few times w/blower, then hit the sensor, and it got the dry fluff off. Then ready for wet clean on stubborn welded on spots. Should help lessen static return of new dust, we shall see.
Thanks!

A great tool when it comes to quality.

A little too pricey.

Awesome

Works great, be sure to read the instructions. Won't clean off oil (you need to wet clean) but gets dust out better than a blower.

Question & Answer

Question :

Sorry...make that aps-c sensors such in the pentax k5, d, k3ii and the new large format k1?

Answer :

Yes, it is good for any sensors. Important is-not to scratch them and use electrostatic properties of the brush only.

Question :

What size brush would work for an aps-c sized sensor?

Answer :

This brush only works for a full frame sensor.

Question :

Will this work for Sony a7ii?

Answer :

I believe the A7ii has a full frame sensor, so it should.

Question :

Will this work for smaller sensors like on the Nikon D500?

Answer :

I have used it on my SONY a550, and it worked fine. I don't see any difference between these two cameras cleaning-wise.

Question :

How do you "charge" the brush before you start cleaning?

Answer :

Place the brush handle between your palms and rotate fast for 10 seconds.

Question :

I have been told that goat hair brushes work the best; Very soft, and they do not fall out. Has anybody else heard of this? Thank you!!

Answer :

No the key is the ability to hold a static charge that attracts the dust, natural bristle brushes don't hold the charge as well.

Question :

Too large for an MFT (micro-four-thirds) sensor?

Answer :

No, there are two brushes of different size in the kit, so one can select a proper one. If used properly, it is a wonderful tool. Don't forget to roll the brush between palms before wiping off the dust from the sensor to add an electric charge to it.
