This a great piece for your studio. Really sturdy and very easy to assemble. I use it to shot time lapse videos and it works like a charm. I'm beyond satisfied with this product. Totally recommended.

Exactly What I Was Looking For!!
This is one of the best investments I've made! I've been filming videos that require the camera to be tilted down towards my table, and up until now I've been using standard tripods. It's been a long journey getting here, I just never wanted to spend the money, but as I was getting more involved in my videos, and the things I needed in reach have been steadily growing, it became inevitable. Long story short, I'm so happy I decided to spend the money on this! It is very well made, very solid, but not too heavy. It was easy to put together, and it's easy to move and customize the setup to how you need it, when you need it. The set up was very easy, well explained, and didn't require any tools. I had it ready in probably 30 minutes.
I did spend some time going through my own collection of items trying to further customize this to my needs. I rummaged through tripods and lighting gear finding various attachments I could use. I was able to attach my lighting to this, as well as rig an attachment to the side for a second angle to use in editing. Luckily, any 1/4" screw can be used to attach things to the top. It's also easy to move your camera to either side in just seconds, without fear of your camera falling. This set up does not have a release plate, you will need to unscrew it every time. I don't have a problem with this since my screen flips, and my battery and memory card are easily accessible while it's attached. The space you have to work is the best part! Everything is here now. I'm not cramped between two tripods, two umbrella lights, and everything else I need. I have just this, and I work comfortably under it. I set up my filming area, and if I find I need more room to one side, I simply slide the camera over!
My only real complaints is that I wish it can with a couple extra attachments. For instance, there is room on the sides to attach more items once you secure the crossbar. However, those holes are a different size than literally every else. It's slightly larger than the 1/4" size. It would've been nice to have extra screws that size for various items to be attached there. I also would've appreciated stronger/more durable clamps, the plastic ones feel like they will break at any moment. Since this was not the main part of the purchase (for me), and replacements are pretty inexpensive, it's not a huge deal, but a consideration if you plan to actually use them. Also, it would've been nice to see a friction arm. I know the listing clearly states they are not included, but I can say I would've really appreciated having at least one included since they are featured prominently in the listing photo.
This has been a real game changer for me, and worth every penny. I can't recommend this enough!

OH100 is a lifesaver
I do a lot of reviews for a gadget magazine in a small office, so I was always looking for a simple rig to use to do quick videos for our readers. The Glide Gear OH100 and OH150 were particularly interesting. The former seemed perfect for small projects. It took me about 10 minutes to figure out how to assemble the whole thing. The stand is more than capable of holding my iPhone, GH5, and lights. The height is also easily adjustable.
As others have said, this could wobble if you are not careful where you set it up. The background holder and smartphone clip included were a plus. Overall, it was an investment well worth making as it saves me from having to set up overhead shots on a regular tripod.

Awesome "tripod" for photographing old scrapbooks
Had a project where scrapbooks for the past 60 years need to be digitized. This thing is great. Easy to put together and VERY STURDY. My only complaint, and it is a nit pick, is the nut where the camera attaches could have a slightly larger knob for those of us with fatter fingers than some...lol. It is set up on my table and is ROCK-SOLID. I have my camera mounted and am using my computer monitor to focus. I have to adjust the focus for each page to ensure the absolute sharpest focus and the camera does not shake at all.
If you need to photograph straight down or at a slight left or right angle this is the gear you need.

Clamp this bad boy down
Assembled it with hands, no tools required. Using a Nikon D7200 and AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm lens with this and it is more than enough to support the weight. It is sturdy but wiggles are possible so clamping it to the table is recommended if you can't drill. Captures at least roughly 24" x 31" of space.
Pros: Camera can be moved up and down the bracket track. The track is threaded at the bottom so you can move/remove or loosen it from there.
Cons: OMG this was expensive!!! My heart hurts so much. Also the manual shows metal clips and in the box you get plastic ones.

Perfect for art videos
My dad assembled this for me, but he said it was pretty easy. I've been using this for two months now and I'm very happy with it. It's very light so I can easily move it around my room. I didn't fix it to my table since I use this for painting videos so I have no problem with stability.

Perfect for Painting demos
This was exactly what I needed for photographing my art work. It is sturdy and will hold 5-10 lbs of camera gear along with multiple LED lights. I also hang other items I need access to. It also comes with a phone mount if you need to take phone videos. It was a little cumbersome to put together, but it is versatile and sturdy. I don’t think I could produce the quality of I achieve without it.

Impressive Fit and Finish
I was looking for a sturdy, overhead rig for creating top-down tutorial videos. I needed something more stable than a boom tripod but take up less space than a duel tripod joined by a beam solution. The Glide Gear OH100 fit my needs and I purchased it after some pricing soul-searching as this product goes a bit beyond the usual photo & video extortion. Once it arrived however, some of my initial sticker shock melted away. First off, the packaging of the product was very well done and all the pieces arrived without any damage or scratches. Assembly was a breeze and the included instructions were well-written and complete. Functionally, it works as advertised and fits nicely on my tabletop. It is stable enough to hold my lights and SLR without any issues. I would appreciate another 4" - 6" in height but if needed, I can easily create an extension as there are already extra holes in the base that could be used to mount to a 4x4 or some other platform. The fit, finish, and stability of everything is excellent with perhaps the exception of an included phone holder which seems a bit cheap and plasticky. .. but to be honest, the original description didn't mention anything about a cell phone holder or the 2 L-brackets and clamps that can be used as a makeshift background holder so it's all a bonus to me. Quite frankly, I don't think the company's product photos do the OH100 justice as it looks and feels much better than I expected based on the product's marketing images & descriptions. Yes, I still feel it is pricy but if I had to purchase it again, I'd do it without hesitation.

Sturdy and worth the money
Filming an overhead shot seems easy but it is such a pain. I’ve used mounts that clamp on to the table and a tripod extension arm before I decided to invest in this piece (thank you stimmy).
This is SUPER sturdy unlike the other two mounts I’ve used and there’s tons of threads to attach additional lights, cameras, or microphones.
I 10/10 recommended this for people who film overhead shots regularly.

High Quality & Sturdy
Was looking for an overhead rig we could use for our camera as well as our iPhones, and was debating some less expensive setups, but I'm really happy we ended up going with the Glide Gear. It is super sturdy and high quality and doesn't require counter weights, which most of the other setups did. Very happy with this purchase and excited to get started on some new video projects.

Question & Answer
Question :
What lens would you use at this distance?
Answer :
I just use my regular video camcorder and zoom in and out as needed. :)
Question :
Where can I order the holder for light which is on the picture?
Answer :
I'm also looking for that camera "holder" bracket. Does anyone know where I can buy one or at least the name of it? "friction arm" is not the correct term...
Question :
What is the total height of this device measured from top of fully extended camera mount to table surface below?
Answer :
If you flip the camera mount so it extends up the maximum height is ~33". I have mine configured this way as it allows for photographing larger items. Total height is ~29" if measured as shown in illustration.
Question :
does anyone have issues with shadows created by the overhead bars? I'm also wondering if this an be used without adding additional lights ?
Answer :
I have a glass ceiling and windows all around in my studio, which sounds delightful, right? But I am positively blinded mid day and cannot do any filming for a portion of my day. However, I am not sure how much of the shadows are from my hands and head while filming demos or from the bar overhead. I do not use this set up with additional lights, but see no reason why you couldn't
Question :
What is the minimum height?
Answer :
Question :
How could I attach my iPhone to this?
Answer :
You'd have to get some kind of attachment that screws on a tripod and holds an iphone, like an iphone tripod head. This one should work:
The Glif: iPhone SE Tripod Mount & Stand https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AAKERD6/ref=cm_sw_r_wa_apa_K2CEAb9ZYFQ7N
I have not tried this product, just found it now, but it should work.
Question :
Is this "ready to go" out of the box for use with a dslr?
Answer :
After the rig is assembled (which is pretty simple) you move the center mount to where you want it and the camera attaches to the mount similar to the way you mount a camera on a tripod. I have been using this rig to photograph my artwork and I use a Nikon D850 with a nikon 24-70 f2.8 vr lens. It's been perfect for what I need. I hope this helps.
Question :
How do the light and monitor arms attach to this item? It's unclear in the photos.
Answer :
There are holes at the top that accept screws. Personally, I used zip-ties to hold my lights on.
Question :
What is the depth of the stand? The width is on their site as 34 inches but they do not list the depth.
Answer :
The depth of the side bars are 1 1/4 inches. The length of the bar on the legs that are on the table are 20 inches long.
Question :
Hi, I am interested to mount lights on the bars. I am taking product photos. Any suggestion on product that can be mounted on the bar?
Answer :
You can use anything with a 1/4 inch screw adaptor.
