Works with Sony a6300.

At first I had an issue but realized that you must first turn on the camera AND THEN turn the trigger on while in the hotshoe. Anytime it didn't work was always when I turned the trigger on first. I don't know the science on why this sequence is crucial, but it works 100% of the time when I turn the camera on first.

Trigger works flawlessly with GODOX TT685s flash. BTW, set the zoom on the flash to the "--" function to control the zoom with the trigger (which can also be synched with zoom of the Sony 16-55 power zoom kit lens).

Works Great for Real Estate Photography

I use this in manual mode as my "portable" trigger for my Godox and flash point strobes in conjunction with another R2 trigger attached to the top of the camera. The strobes themselves are set to fire off with the last "power" signal that they receive. So I set the flash power with this little guy and then, when the camera fires, it sends a plan "fire" signal form the trigger mounted to the camera and the strobes deploy with the last setting they receive from this Xpro.

This means I can control flash power wireless with this Xpro in my pocket. Which I like. I often composite layered images and with the tripod often on carpeted floors I like to minimize the touching of the camera itself as much as possible once the shot is set up. I don't want to shoot an ambient layer and then start fidgeting with the flash trigger on top of the camera as I dial in flash power for multiple strobes. This current setup, in conjunction with a wireless camera shutter release, means I can minimize hands-on interaction with the camera as much as possible.

Learning Lighting? Start here.

This thing is incredible and very easy to use and very reliable. I've been over 100ft from strobes using this and had not missed shots. TTL, HSS, grouping lights, zooming, manual power control, everything the major brands do but for a price that I can't comprehend. This is great for beginners since it is affordable, reliable and you can upgrade the lights as you learn or grow your business. It is also pro grade. I use profoto at work and I have these at home and I don't notice huge difference in workflow. Profoto of course is a bit more rugged and when in a pinch can be rented to augment an existing kit easily, but this system has really impressed me.

A Sony Godox Flash Must-Have

I have had the R2 unit for awhile, and began to see Manny Ortiz in his tutorials have a flash controller that had this large, illuminated screen with easy to read menu options. Found out it was a newer version, and just received it. Easy to connect, made it work with 2 flash groups,,a Flashpoint 600 and 2 speedlights. The beauty of it is that it is SO VISIBLE in low light and easy to navigate, reduce flash power and see your groups easily. Highly recommend.

Compact, versatile

I had 1st purchased the Flashpoint R2 Pro Mark II version that had more buttons & a twist lock hot shoe thinking it would be better. This unit is more compact in all 3 dimensions and the screw lock is more my preference. The screen is large; same size as the Flashpoint R2 Pro Mark II. You can view up to 5 groups at once. The screen angle is better than the other versions. The buttons give you intuitive control without multiple functions on the same button. You do loose the on-camera hot shoe capability which was not important to me. I still have the Flashpoint R2 Mark II which has the hot shoe capability if I need that.

What is really gonna set your photography apart is off camera flash and this allows you to link everything from godox speedlights to strobes that are wireless capable together. I saw some of my favorite YouTubers using them and watched every tutorial I could but if you are looking at Profoto's and Broncolor drooling at them mouth, grab a towel save you money and buy these triggers and some godox lights. As long as your light can keep up these will fire them every time. Not to mention other controls cost 5-10 times as much and they only difference is some are "touch screen". Save yourself they money for taking a trip to get better photos. Love this brand love these triggers.

Works amazingly well. Control flashes from the camera, works great with 4 and probably more.

Using with four Godox Ving V860II-S 2.4G flash units on a Sony A99ii and works remarkable well. It was a little confusing getting the flashes synced to the unit but that's because I'm old and have to read things twice (or more). Use this for water drop collision photography and some high speed captures outdoors. No regrets on purchase and works as well as I could have expected. The ability to control the flashes from the camera even when they are 10 or 20' away is wonderful.

Easy to set up - with clear LCD menus...

There is an earlier, less costly version of this device - but I spent the extra ($20) to have this one because of the better LCD and menu setup. The device does so much that I'd be afraid to NOT have the better LCD and menu. It works perfectly in conjunction with my Godox flash to give me high speed sync, TTL, multi-flash, and all the other functions of my flash - but with the flash off camera.

I had an issue with the Godox X1T-S. When I tried to take a portrait style photo, my Godox speedlights would not fire. When I turned my camera back to landscape style, it fired with no problem. But since I purchased the Pro-S I have not had one misfire on my Godox speed lights, my AD-200 or my AD-600s. This works perfectly and is much easier to adjust the settings.

Worth the upgrade

This commander blows away their previous X model. Way easier to use and it allows for a lot of new features. I kind of wish that the buttons had a backlight since I shoot in the dark all of the time.
