Worked perfectly!

When I found out our new landscape lights didn't have ready-made color gels I was at a loss. But when I found these - they worked perfectly! I just cut them to size, then used mini binder clip to attach to the light. The red was plenty dark enough, but the green had to be doubled to get a good color. I used less than one sheet of each color. Plenty for future uses and ideas!

Great filters for landscape lighting at Christmas time

You get plenty of sheets and they are easy to cut out and put on your outdoor lighting. I found that the green had to be doubled up to get a decent color, otherwise a good experience.

Great for making Christmas pot light filters. The gels have a protective sheet on both side and are 8.75 x 11 inches and .0011 in (.28mm) thick. The protective sheath (.03mm per side).

The plastic sheets are sturdy enough. Good quality. They have thin plastic on either side protecting them. Peel that off.

Question & Answer

Question :

Can these be used outside in winter weather ?

Answer :

Not sure...we plan on using them as lighting for Christmas decorations on our uprights on the porch ...haven't used them yet

Question :

I’d like to use these over led landscape spotlights. They warn against to much heat will cause melting. Leds don’t get to hot but what is the melting

Answer :

I plan to use mine for the same thing. Trying to decide how to attach to the light fixtures now. I’m not worried that they will melt since nowhere near actual bulbs and they do not get hot anyway.

Question :

How do I attach the red and green Christmas gel

Answer :

Since they are firm plastic, I have placed them inside my light casings. And for my ground level light I just placed them over the light and held it in place with some of my landscape rocks. For a spotlight I would think tape or a laundry pin or may be a paper clip might work to hold in place.
